Image Unavailable, Please Login I knocked my favourite desk lamp over and unfortunately broke it. Is there any way to fix this... The little circle bit is broken off the ‘stalk’ ; there are 2, both broken almost identically. The black thing is the power lead, to give an idea of scale.
I’ve had great results with this Karen. Expensive however you only need a drop. Has to be refrigerated. https://www.repco.com.au/car-care-panel/adhesives-sealants/adhesives/loctite-401-instant-adhesive-medium-viscosity-general-purpose-25ml-265607/p/A7868324?kwSearch=loctite
Thanks for the suggestion - anyone else used this stuff? $32 would be a bargain fix - it is an Artemide lamp...
J-B weld would do that easily. They make various applications, but the "original" twin tube cold weld product works with aluminium, and drys grey, so would look ok. Their marine weld would work either https://www.jbweld.com.au/twin-tubes/ Off topic, there are lots of great anecdotes of what people have fixed with JB weld. Like people fixing holes in the sides of engine blocks where a rod has punched through etc Most of the stories are apocyrphal, but the stuff really does work, and holds lots of stuff together on racecars
Sincere thanks for the ideas guys! I probably won’t get around to this until September, but at leat I know there’s something to try!
