Good attitude ----- make the best of what is presented to you! https://f1i.com/news/471121-hamilton-doesnt-like-not-great-cars-but-loves-the-challenge.html Hamilton doesn't like 'not great cars', but loves the challenge Image Unavailable, Please Login ©Mercedes Michael Delaney 06/04/2023 at 12:39 Lewis Hamilton says he doesn't like driving a car that isn't great, but the seven-time world champion won't let a good challenge go wasted. Mercedes missed the boat last year when Formula 1 ushered in its all-new technical regulations. The Brackley squad had been the dominant force in F1 since the advent of the hybrid era in 2014, but its engineers opted for a radical aero design that proved as complex to understand as its ill effects were difficult to solve. The team then carried over into 2023 its zero-sidepod concept, against Hamilton's recommendations, and while Mercedes' performance of late has improved, its W14's is still no match for Red Bull's commanding RB19. For Hamilton, handling a troubled car is an ordeal, but he'll also do whatever it takes to raise its performance and make strides. "I don’t like driving not great cars," the Mercedes driver told Fox. "I don’t like driving a car that’s not the car that we weren’t meant to have but I love that challenge of ‘OK, what can I do with it? "Wins are not possible right now, so what is the maximum we can get? Can we be a little cheeky and if fifth is the best we can get, can we get a fourth or a third? "Just make sure we are consistent and fit and ready so when the car does all of a sudden switch on and it is the car you dreamed of having, you’re ready."
As for myself, I very much would like to see him win one or two more before he retires; seeing him go without having recovered his mojo would disappoint me to no end; unfinished business...I don't like great drivers retiring on a low key. Rgds
No means No !! This "revisionism" about Singapore 2008 and Abu Dhabi 2021 is like flogging a dead horse !
Since there is currently a petition by Massa to revise the 2008 season, is this perhaps a knee-jerk reflex reaction to recoup a potentially lost WDC for Sir Lewis?
Eliminate all points ... for all teams ... for 2008 Singapore. Eliminate all points ... for all teams ... for 2021 Abu Dhabi. I'm fine with it
I have no problem with, and even encourage, people speaking their minds about a perceived injustice. People should be free to express outrage in healthy ways. The problem only arises when they try to circumvent the proper channels and force their opinions on others without due process.

What's important is what makes him happy, IMO. It seems Nico has achieved everything he aimed for, including a successful reconversion.
