    2018 488 problem.

    Hey everyone,

Out of the blue, shut my car off with the radio on. Started it (the car was off for approx 4 hours) and the radio was off.

Everytime I turn it on, everything seems normal, except it shuts off by it self after 5 seconds.

    Tried like 10x... same thing.

I've tried restarting the car. No change.

Any ideas what could l be the problem?

Also one more thing to add...

In the 5 seconds it stays on, it shows the warning screen, then it defaults to satellite radio "getting content info (or some message like that)".

When I try to change stations, all my favorites are gone.

And I can't do anything with the right screen navigation, other than try to change satellite stations before it shuts off and displays the speedo.

    HELP :)

458, 488, F12 all have the same issue. Head unit is more than likely caput. Obviously have it checked properly..but it's not uncommon. To make matters worse..it is ridiculously expensive to replace..

It's up under the dash..if you have a look on Eurospares.com you can call up the parts diagrams and they will show you the location.

I have yet to have been given permission by clients to pursue a replacement for l a dead unit or attempt to repair one. So I'm kinda out of my element to recommend a plan of attack.

Hello everyone, I have a 2018 Frrrari spider just bought last year and since I bought it I’m having the same problem, my radio shuts off by its self, while I’m drive but every time I stop the car the radio turn on normal, I did change the battery and I did the reset on the battery as well , but nothing changed, I also took it to the dealership and got it diagnosed, saying that the cluster is bad which it doesn’t make sense to me, and sometimes the right screen switch to the speed odometer by it self.Any help with that please, dealer wanna charge me 11k to change the whole cluster assembly. Please help

Unfortunately I'm not surprised by this. It is very possible. 11k is ridiculous. But as they say..Buy an expensive car..pay expensive prices. At the end of the day, purchasing these cars is a self inflicted problem. Unfortunately it's something we must deal with. Pay to play.

I thought there were two companies that work-on/fix the displays. One in California and one in Florida, for substantially less money. Both have been mentioned on FChat previously
