I know the Lamborghini has V12

I meant that on your B&W picture it is not the Lambo V12... and it is also missing the little air intake chromed grille

so could it be a mix among your pictures and that particular pic is not the correct one related to the 350 GTS Spyder...

also the environement of the cars are different

Again, thank you for sharing these incredible pics, I remember to have seen them with ASA script on them many years ago

Looks like an Aston Martin DB5 vantage engine shot to me. Great period photos.

    hey together
my negatives are from the Turino Motori magazine.
I was able to buy the Archivio from the year 1958 to 1986 and I have more Lamborghini negatives.

Nice video interview with Achille Bevini, Oliviero Pedrazzi, and Tonino Lamborghini on the early days at the factory and the 350/400GT development. Has some good tidbits on Ferruccio, the development of the in house gearbox, a prank Bevini and Pedrazzi played on Stanzani and more.

The video is in Italian but the YouTube auto translate feature does a decent job of getting the gist across.

Does anyone here know if the interim cars had the lower floorpans from the 2+2?

I was looking at the pictures for the current auction of the 400GT interim chassis no. 0565 and to my eye, it seems like the panel under the door sills goes down further than on the 350s. The interim also doesn't have the jack point cut outs so maybe that change happened at the same time?

Is that just differences in the exhaust system & not floors?

Ya, I looked at some other photos of supposed interims and it seems like the combination of the dark blue paint, different exhaust heights, and slightly different camera angles are what account for thinking it had the lower 2+2 body line. Also, not having the jack point cutouts to use as a visual reference point played a part too.

Anyone know what the reasoning for getting rid of them might have been?

Does anyone know if the factory offered sunroofs as an option on the 2+2s?

Chassis NO. 0781 is up for auction and the description claims its sunroof is factory. Looks aftermarket to me (along with an incorrect headliner and steering wheel) but I'd love to be proven wrong.

It also has little scoops on the fresh air vents which I have never seen before. Perhaps those were an option as well?

… d‘you think the underbody might have been lowered to create more space for the interior???

… like on the Espada Series I to II? There are no stats!

These expensions were done very inconspicuous to the Countach during the „S“- Models – please don't ask!!!

I know this is going to sound crazy but the scoops could have been something offered by J.C. Whitney or an equivalent. Don't laugh, I looked at a series III Espada once @ GullWing Motors that was beat to hell with both poor maintenance as well as a ton of "Whitney" add-ons. It even had pasted vertical slats on that short window in the rear which came with only a few early series I cars. Tacky as hell ...

These scoups look kind of nice and seem functional perhaps?
