This car is made for driving enthusiasts, who are more interested in substance than form.
    I will dream of configuring a T 33 !!!

That's so cheesy. Imagine if Ferrari were to do this. The plaque would need to be 30 metres long...

Blinkers still firmly fixed we see.

Well its been a while since they could fit one of these cheesy things to one of their cars!

Plus we also know how truthful they are! lol

Unfortunately I agree and I am a Gordon fan… why on earth would someone want to have a plaque with the CV of the designer?

That's quite different to having the CV of the firm's founder. Don't you see the difference? Speaking of blinkers...

Huge fan of this car and Murray but also agree the plaque is cheesy and I’d have it removed

You have answered your own question as to why is that plaque is on there, given they have never produced a car for the general public, and the company is called Gordon Murray Automotive then it is very clear to those without blinkers on (and with the constant harping, also a big chip in their shoulder) that buyers snapped them up simply because of that founder and his pedigree, so why not celebrate such on their first car. I doubt anyone cancelled their order as a result of it being fitted.

By the way how many of those Enzo's plaques in my last pic are on the planet again?

As you can see in the comments above, you are in the minority here, perhaps even the only one! It's one thing celebrating the company's racing achievements and another to list the designer's life... The analogue would be for Ferrari to outline Enzo's life on a plaque. It would have been equally cringey.

I am in the majority of the actual people that truly matter though, and that is the owners of these cars, given that on the resale market they stand to make a killing if and when they sell them on I doubt any of them will be prising off that plaque on delivery.

However I imagine proud Enzo owners get a little pissed everytime someone points out to them that Ferrari made over 500 of those 399 plaques!

    Keep digging that hole.......

I think that it makes even less sense the more I think about it, Murray is very weight obsessed and hates the bs factor in sports cars, the plaque adds weight and serves no practical purpose - it’s very odd and out of character that he’s authorised it

I’ll message a couple of people I know who are getting cars to see what their view is

Maybe then if he were to drill the plaque full of holes for weight savings it would be at once in character, and Swiss cheesy? (sorry ...)

Remember that when it was conceived he probably thought it was his swansong car, and it stroked his ego a bit to have it fitted.

When you look at the size of the weave compared to the plaque, its actually quite small.

The plaque is just stuck on with double-sided tape and can be easily removed if not desired on the car. Even then, it would be a nice memento to go with the car.
I just asked someone who is getting all 4 of the GMA cars announced thus far. The plaque's weight is minuscule (much less than the hood badge). As for cheesiness, he doesn't mind it on each of the cars, let alone the T.50.
