Otherwise to return to 167, the exhaust ends, you prefer them in the shape of a circle or rectangular ?
Well, I am happy it has an exhaust !! 4 pipes and, if you asked me, round/oval side exhaust like the AM Vulcan
Round is probably best from an engineer’s perspective. It also happens to look good Not in favor of the “cow bell” exhaust- not in keeping with the flowing lines of most Ferrari cars Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
North East of England / Yorkshire still open…. I am not a religious man but pretty sure God himself made some of our roads up here; and we are Policed old school, with Professional Squad cars; which is mush preferred - this old school approach maintains a level of decorum not witnessed on other regions in the UK, we have the lowest number of Speed / Safety (tax) cameras in the UK (I think !), and funny enough the lowest accident rate too, what are the chances…..must be some correlation there….just can’t clearly see it yet… ….unfortunately the population up here is competently full, we simply don’t tolerate anyone within a couple of miles of each other, we are still chewing coal for our dinners, brushing our teeth with salt; we are accepting no more applicants, so please stay away, please apply to London and anywhere down South instead….. which has loads of good roads and everything else (honest)…. In the meantime we will continue to have sight of miles of empty roads and take the clean racing lines whilst having our ear drums burst with 9,000 rpm of banshee Howl (the sheep love it as it means they get off the road). …..please don’t bring an electric car; I couldn’t even point you in the direction of a 240v charger - we would probably have to knock on the door of an old miner and offer him 50p for his electric meter and wait all afternoon at the local social club…a few pub brawls later we would be ready to go again… happy days, only then to run over a sheep…. …instead you will need to travel very fast over long distances at incredible speed, sometimes uphills, a high revving V12 is perfect….anything high revving V8 also works, and even have to concede a 296 is perfectly at home, in fact unbelievably at home here…. Like I said, I am not a religious man….(Forgive me God - thank you for the roads up here you have created - they are very perfect), but sometimes faith in the system is a good thing. Yorkshireman? I can see you all now in the pub: “We may not have many homes where we live, but excellent roads.” “Roads!? You have roads. Where I am we have dirt pathes that are littered with goat dung!” “At least you have goat dung! Where I am we don’t have goats, only rats and mice. You ever have rat cheese?” “At least you have rats, we have flies mixed with marmite for sandwiches.” (Apologies to Monty Python…)

Oh noooooo.. Better start saving up for an 812 then, because that does not sound like it'll fit into my taste
Ah, f@ck. Yet another thing I'm not going to like about the replacement. This thread continues to make me question my [previously] intended trajectory. Instead of acquiring the 812 replacement, I'm now giving serious consideration to keeping my 812 SF and supplementing it with a 275 GTB. No soon-to-be-outdated screens, no haptic, no bs, and, a big middle finger to a company that doesn't listen and has lost sight of its past.
Can’t we like both? On the current design of the 812, the round exhaust tips look great. On the comp, the squared/oval ones look great too. It would make sense for Ferrari to continue the evolution of the v12 design to a much more modern design like they have with all of their current new offerings. The comp is one of the most beautiful cars on the market. If the f167 takes design clues from the comp I’ll be happy. Doesn’t mean I’ll like or dislike my 812 any further. Think about the tdf. Still beautiful. Different design cues. 812 built on that. I’m sure we’ll see something similar. But what do I know lol. Though I think that if they use hybrid assist, 812 will hold a very very special place in Ferrari car history.
Rectangular or trapezoidal tailpipes were designed for the first time during the development of the LaFerrari (F150). The "Tensostruttura" and the "Manta"-concept were later merged into the LaF. It was Luca di Montezemolo who decided that the LaF would end up with round taillights (he once said this in an interview). And it must have been similar with the tailpipes... I'm less critical here as long as the overall design and the proportions are perfect. But the comparison with a cow bell is very amusing!
I hope the taillights are round. Virtually all front-engined V12s had round taillights. It's traditional. Of course, if they are not round, but are well resolved like SP2, it will be great too.
Well I just came back from seeing the PS in Houston. Hate to say it but I think you may be right. The PS has me scratching my head more and more from a “what were they thinking” standpoint. Not a fan of the current trend of interiors, which are now mirroring the exterior styling miscues both of which worrying for future models. But for me, I smile every time I go into my garage even if I only see a red cover. I thought my F12 would be my swan song (getting too old for this), now it’s looking like my SF may be it, which is fine by me. Let’s hope I’m wrong. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I fully accept that taste is a peculiarly, individualized, nuanced thing. Having said that, I have found images of the Comp to be unattractive, particularly the solid, air-accelerator-clad rear window replacement. Realizing that photos can fail to communicate real world vibe, I deferred judgement until I saw the car in the metal. When my 812 was last in for service, two Comps were at my dealer's service center. I walked around and around, studying them at length. My reaction was, and remains, that they are horrendous. But, that's just my opinion. It's cool that you enjoy their appearance. Indeed, if everyone felt as I do, the Comp would present a complete failure for Ferrari. Having said that, if the F167 resembles the Comp to any recognizable degree, I'll pass on it and never look back.
Actually, that's a fib Ferrari tells, complete nonsense, even per their own patent, it's just a blank cover with moustaches (language from the patent) https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/148205615/
The market agrees with you- comps are only selling for over 2 million. Super ugly. But jokes aside- everyone is entitled to their own subjective opinion in design. If everyone liked the same thing we’d live in a boring world.
Lol its a go kart inside. Nothing to see there.. We need smth like this in a modern way. Well is a Lambo, but still good.
