    I know I haven't posted a proper intoduction yet, but I've spoken with a few here via PM. I'm still putting my new to me, long time neglected car back together. Proper intro will be posted when the thing is on the road.

    I'm wrapping up the last bit of an engine-out now. These fuel lines. My car is a 98, so single pump and filter. I want to replace all these braided stainless lines - the car sat for a long time, so when I disconnected everything, a black tarry goop dripped out of the lines after the fuel drained.. not good! I did what I usually do with my Porsche stuff - cut all the (weird aluminum on this Ferrari) collets off and take to my local fuel line repair shop. They told me they don't have collets that fit these ends. Looking at the Cohline catalog, I can't figure out an off-the-shelf solution. Looking at Eurospares, replacing all these hoses with new Ferrari would cost $1890, and that's if they're actually available to order and not actually ancient NOS stuff.. Similar pricing at Superformance and same concern about age.

    I'm thinking I should ditch this dual FPR setup and weird junction block and go with a single regulator and all AN hose and fittings. In reading old threads, that opens other cans o worms (FPR blockoffs for fuel rails, which regulator to use)

    Anybody have a solution, before I dive down this rabbit hole?

    I'm all for this exercise. I eventually tabled it and bought the OEM hoses, but will see about rebuilding my old ones. I even considered coming up with a kit if I found a viable solution.

    The biggest challenge is a trustworthy fuel rail fitting. There are fittings that are close and similar in function but debatable if a true fit.

    I'm all ears if someone has an off the shelf source for an adapter to connect at the fuel rail in place of the oem regulator.

    I wonder if new OEM lines are even ethanol rated?

    I bought OEM. I have no idea if they are ethanol rated. I haven't installed them yet.
    Oh, and buy from Maranello Concessionaires (ferrariparts.co.uk). Ask for Brian.
    They can match Eurospares pricing nearly all the time or are very close. They are an actual dealer and they pack their shipping better than Eurospares.

    Eurospares has great customer service too, but I didn't have a good experience with shipping from them.

    I am new to the 355 platform but as the owner/founder of deatschwerks, I know a lot about fuel systems. If there is demand, we could develop an off-the-shelf solution for rails, lines, fittings, regulators, pumps, or whatever else is needed. I know it isn't a big market, but I usually end up developing products for applications I own.

    Unless it's insanely expensive, count me in for a set of fuel lines.

    You'll have a hit with fuel pressure regulators. Bosch doesn't make them anymore...

    Agree there is a need for fuel system parts to keep these on the road.

    On the single pump cars I'm still mystified by the dual pressure regulator setup. The 2 rails aren't isolated and fed by essentially a T to each. The regulators are basically running in parallel. From a hydrolic perspective the regulator on 1 rail will impact the other. Perhaps it was easier to keep it than change everything when they changed from dual to single pump. Im not familiar with this arrangement in any other application.

    Has anyone cut open an original fuel line to see how the internals are holding up? I fear my car going up in a giant fireball specifically due to the internals turning to goo from exposure to our horrible fake gasoline, and then leaking. Ethanol fuel has been around a number of years at this point and I am curious how long old-school fuel lines hold up to it.

    This is why I just ordered new lines. I may do that when I remove the old ones.

    The shop that changed my fuel lines last November on my request told me they were in bad shape.
    They didn't change the ones coming in and out the engine unfortunately because they said they were OK.
    I'd rather have them all changed. Next time...

    That would be huge. I was just looking at the Radium site, and they have Honda fuel rails with integrated FPRs and pressure gauges.. I was planning on sending them my rails so they could match up with something off the shelf. They were just the first vendor I saw and prices looked alright.
    If you're interested, I can send you all my stuff. It's allready off the car and labeled, all collets cut off. I'd love to wrap this up.

    Okay, finally had some time to work on my own car and got the heavy lifting done on this project.

    Everything is AN fittings and PTFE line. Adjustable FPRs. Gauges can come off once they’re set, or stay on. Nothing rubs, and it should be a nice clean install. I have to get or make some p-clips to hang the supply hoses off the intake plenums, and make a mount for the distribution blocks where the factory one was. It’s 8an in and out (overkill, but should be good), and 6an at the rails.

    The full system will go:
    8an adapter fitting at pump outlet up to stock filter.
    Filter outlet to distribution block mounted to PS reservoir mount.
    2 6an 90s from distribution block along inside edge of intake plenums (2 p-clips securing)
    2an 90s going into back side of new fuel rails.
    Adjustable FPR on fuel rails with fuel pressure gauges.
    Return off FPR to second distribution block (not pictured)
    8an return line from second distribution block back to tank.

    I may go real crazy and make a new plate for the fuel tank to mount a modern drop-in fuel pump with basket. All new everything sounds nice.. get rid of this mount thing and lines I know are going to fall apart.

    I’ll update again soon as I button it up. Can’t wait to get this engine back in.
