Unfortunately, in my experience, that's normal behaviour for Benz dealerships.

Not only Benz. I had the Conti serviced recently and it needed a new set of tyres. The service advisor quoted $2500 for a wheel alignment, like WTF!!! He then began to tell me that the alignment was quite complex requiring calibration of the optical sensors. I pointed out that there was no such thing with this model, so he requoted $300 for the alignment and the stupid fwit then wrote in the invoice “ client declined optical sensors alignment” FFS

    MAJOR MOTOR MERGER

Renault and Ford have joined forces to create the perfect small car for women.

Mixing the Renault 'Clio' and the Ford 'Taurus' they have designed the 'Clitaurus'.

It comes in pink, and the average male car thief won't be able to find it, let alone turn it on - even if someone tells him where it is and how to do it.

Rumour has it though, it can be a real ***** to start in the morning!

Some have reported that on cold winter mornings, when you really need it, you can't get it to turn over.

New models are initially fun to own, but very costly to maintain, and horribly expensive to get rid of.

Used models may initially appear to have curb appeal and a low price, but eventually have an increased appetite for fuel, & the curb weight typically increases with age.

Manufacturers are baffled as to how the size of the boot increases, but say that the paint may just make it LOOK bigger.

This model is not expected to reach collector status.

Most owners find it is best to lease one, and replace it when it becomes troublesome

******** gorgeous. Love it in green (it would be my choice) but the Martini 7 edition shown later in the video (18:48) is also damn hot.

Jodi took a previous XC90 to the Volvo dealer for a service and they called her to tell her the brakes needed doing. She gave them the go ahead and then rang me to ask my opinion. They quoted her $1900. I rang them and asked if they were replacing all 4 rotors (15k klms service mind you), and pads. He advised me they were replacing front and rear pads and machining the rotors. I asked if they had their own ‘on car’ to which he replied, no. I told him a mobile on car guy will charge them $38.50 a rotor, and the genuine pads were $220 front set retail, $180 for the rears. He asked what I did, and I told him I had my own workshop and we only took the car there while the warranty period was still active.
He said he would cal me back. Amazingly, he said they could now do the brakes for $990. I told them to go ahead and I serviced the car myself from then on.

Even $300 for a wheel alignment is a bit rich. :D

Did you wear your white coat and stethoscope when you walked in there?

    On a side note.......

I was at Ashdowns today, soon to be called NAPA Auto Parts. They predominantly sell Auto Electrical parts here in QLD, plus lots of other ****. Ashdowns is owned by Repco.

The Manager there told me this morning that, "if you don't know", the Australian Government is pushing to try to stop them bringing in parts for cars that are older than 12 years old.

They don't want "us" fixing old cars so they can try and get them off the road, anything older than 12 years, so they can improve Australia's carbon footprint lol

First I heard of this crap, not sure how true it is and I hope it's not true because Murri Motors prides itself on selling 20 year old Commodores and Territorys to it's loyal customer base.

"Quality used vehicles at a quality used price! Thanks Murri Motors!"
