If Ferrari offered a manual transmission I might start dreaming of getting one again. The problem I see nowadays is that the typical new Ferrari buyer around here at least bought it to pose with and doesn’t know how to drive a manual.

Certainly can’t argue with Brian here. I still believe there’s a considerable opportunity for Ferrari and Lamborghini to do very well with a gated car, and charge plenty for it (so, I’m not suggesting a car for $100k), but they have their business model and they’re doing just fine with it.

And just who was is it Enzo Ferrari catered to for so many years?

Roberto Rosellini, Audrey Hepburn, Paris Hilton, Justin Bieber, Jill St John. This list can go on for days. Thats who the old man built road cars for. That was always their targeted market.

Paris Hilton was a little child and Justin Bieber wasn’t even born when Enzo died…:D:eek:

I bet he would have HATED those modern “celebrities” when compared to Audrey Hepburn.

This is so true. I always laugh when some try to characterize Ferrari of the past as solely for the racing or car enthusiast. Their cars were built for the well healed - royalty, the wealthy, celebrities. That has always been the car, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Times change. Celebrities are reflective of the times. I’m sure Enzo wouldn’t have cared as long as the money poured in. He was a capitalist.

And you know this because of your close personal relationship. His cars were the 50s and 60s automotive version of a pair of Manolos.

Please, he was proud of it. The modern company is pursuing the same business model. There are just more wealthy people available.

incredible car but the styling is just too bland for what it is. but i guess gm owners will also have pagainis, keggs, etc for when they want crazy looks and t50 for when they want ultimate driving expericence.
but isnt it strange they didnt discuss what the fan does for driving feel? only car with this feature and they ignored it. weird.

Soon, the problem will be that the typical new Ferrari buyer will be a poser wanting to show off that he's able to own (not necessarily drive btw) a manual... In Europe we're protected from that since most grandmas (and basically all people until recently) learned to drive on manual cars, but with the arrival and spreading of hybrid and electric cars this legacy will be forgotten, and we'll begin to see the same irrational worship for manual transmissions as in the US :p

Those totally irrational manuals. I can hardly wait for the fully autonomous Ferraris so I can sit in the back seat and take selfies while it takes me to my destination…..

The fan is for downforce. It was discussed in a previous TG vid.

yes we know what fan supposed to do but since no other street car has ever had it, i find it strange the tg review didnt comment on how it felt in its different fan modes. maybe its not ready yet on this pre prod prototype?
