Apple CarPlay on centre screen

Does any one know if the Canadian version Roma will have wireless central screen Apple CarPlay?
My is produced on March 2023. Currently status 85. Also, does anyone knows roughly how long it takes to ship the car to Canada?

This is not the Canadian version right. Because it looks like the steering wheel is on the right side.
My dealer told me every country has its own software version…

My dealer in France will do the upgrade in a couple of weeks

 

Canada should be the same as North America which means your March 2023 build should be delivered with wireless CarPlay and display on centre HVAC screen as standard. It should arrive at Ferrari NA in New Jersey within 8 weeks and then it’s a matter of scheduling transportation to your dealer.
If you follow this discussion from the beginning, infotainment software updates are already rolling out in Europe, UK and rest of the world for wireless CarPlay and centre screen display. Still waiting for the release of the update for NA cars. NA dealers are usually the last to know anything about updates[emoji849].

This was in Australia.

The car was delivered nearly 2 years ago and then had the upgrade at the end of last year.

 

Hi Joe,

I spoke with my dealer on Saturday and he advised that if he was given the vin he then could upgrade my software to your version.

Are you able to DM me your vin?

Wait, you're saying the AppleCar Play option which normally is 5K or so is now standard on the 2023 Romas?

 

I think it became standard in 2022. They also raised the base price of the car by $4k.

At least it works. They added wireless charging to the 2023 cars (along with FCAM and a hefty price bump) and it does not work.

 

DM sent. I am not near the car right now so I sent the Vin from my insurance card. Hopefully it is accurate. If not, let me know and I will get it from the car. Good luck bro.

 

So I do know that I had to pay for the wireless charging option for my 2023…so that part isn’t included as standard. I get my car this weekend so looking forward to being able to use my “free CarPlay”…lol

My window sticker does not list wireless charging; I assume that is all rolled into the base price of the car. The trunk plaque does, however, list it. Same goes for Carplay and FCAM.

 

I suggest reading this post to set expectations[emoji56]…

I am looking at a 2021 and dealer is supposed to get back to me whether they can retro CarPlay or not, anyone try this?

 

So did anyone in the U.S ever get an update for carplay on center screen?

 

I'm in Brazil and I received my Roma 2023 in July now. to my surprise it has Apple CarPlay wireless and projection on the central multimedia panel, but it is restarting the car system completely when driving. Car stays on but resets all screens. I have an iphone 14 pro I believe it is some incompatibilities that everyone reports here. very strange. a question. it is connected to bluetooth, also need to be with Wifi as well? I noticed that there is a car Wi-Fi with a strange name, but it did not connect automatically.

 

Sorry you are having issues, in my 296GTB, Apple CarPlay works flawlessly. I too use iPhone 14Pro. Major issue though is it is next to impossible to change options using the steering wheel haptic controls. They are too sensitive; options are too close to each other and choosing / changing an option requires 100+% attention on your finger delicately moving by the millimeter on the touch surface while navigating the dash display and all the while you have to hope and pray nothing has sprung in front of you on the road that you may end driving into. I try to make all my selections (navigation, music, etc.) before I start driving these days. I feel like a guinea pig for the first-generation haptic controls that I sincerely hope becomes better by the time my 296 GTS comes in a year or two. Congratulations on your new Roma. Wish you 1,000's of happy memorable miles.

 

This is a known fault. Mine (and a friends) have done the same. You need to take it to the dealer for a software update.

I just had the software updated on my US Roma and Apple CarPlay is now on the center screen. Here are the software specs:
Software version 97.14.00.
HMI version V-6.4.12
EB Speech version 5.0.2
GN Data version 31.05.21
TTS Version 4.0.1

Just had my US 2022 Roma successfully updated to identical software versions as Jhs1 above. Prior to this update, I was experiencing black screen restarts which the AD was able to reproduce. Wireless CarPlay has been enabled and connected with my iPhone 14 on first attempt. Early impressions are a more usable interface with touchscreen and thus far stable running Waze, Google Maps and Music. Some shots with CarPlay active…

Note Music info in sub-screen and CarPlay button no longer available on main menu.
