Seems like Domenicali is running F1 the same way he ran SF: incompetently. I’m unfortunately not looking forward to this sucktacular track this weekend.
Shame that the actual track looks nothing like that. This was a colossal missed opportunity to put together something special.
For some reason I don't remember well last year's race... I need to see the highlights again. I hope they don't shrink the DRS zones here, otherwise, I'll be more of the same. Man, I'm missing Lattifi like never before.
Are these the buildings at risk of collapsing due to water infiltrating their foundations? Also why are all seagulls leaving Miami?
IMO when people picture the miami GP (before the abomination they came out with), they picture south beach, blue water, amazing sunsets, palm trees and so on. A real holiday destination. We ended up with a parking lot next to a flyover.
I think the new Las Vegas race is here to stay for a while due to the actual investment F1 is making. But I agree, the hype and demand and prices will drop in the upcoming years. I did pay the big bucks to get the first year tickets, but won't be going again.
For us poor fans in the USA: 86F Friday 84F Saturday 84F Sunday I'll be the guy in the grandstand at the finish line Sunday in my FERRARI shirt and hat.
I've been offered - discounted Paddock Club for Miami- only $12K for the weekend.... or $27K for Ferrari at Vegas... Paddock Club. Not only is this outrageous and sheer stupidity... its an actual leave of senses. There is no way you can justify the value of those prices ... that is per-person pricing. just to put it into perspective Monza is $7K.... and a far better place to watch a race. My usual host is no longer buying Paddock club from Mercedes... even they are saying its too costly.
Saw the highlights last year. What a horrible cringy race. With the time difference over here, i'll give this a skip. I need to recover after the Baku snorefest.
Fully understand that thinking!! Of all the new races I can see this one being difficult to sustain over time.
great line in the article: "this isn’t racing. This isn’t Formula 1. It’s a high-end selfie museum" in a parking lot.” i blew off las vegas for the same reason. even though we'd have a comp'd suite at wynne [my wife is on the board] and related wynne perq.s, the whole scene is a nightmare
