Gated EAG F430 I was involved in just sold for $133. I lost money and so did guy number 2. Market going wrong direction to sell a car right now, unless you absolutely must. We may never see the exuberance of 2021 again. Kind of like the dotcom 90’s….look for a 5775 mile Classiche gated GTS to be available in 2041. Giallo GTS will not break $140.

Difficult to correlate 1 manual swapped, higher production/newer Ferrari from a shop with numerous complaints with the state of the overall or even the F355 market. The hype around the manual conversions has died down after a few sold for a premium now that the supply has caught up with demand. They will never be worth what the factory manual cars bring and to expect a massive premium over the total price of an F1 car + the price of the swap is unrealistic.

I think that was a good buy and on the factory gated 430, even with accident history. At one time, was that not a $240k car? Love the color spec.

Ken, your repertoire of information and data is always appreciated. I don’t have the energy, LOL….

I did just buy the fastest accelerating car in the world! Thank GOD I have a antiquated Gated 355 to keep me slow and safe. I really think I am going to put a few miles on the GTS at this rate of depreciation once it is done at Ferrari. Waiting my slot with Steve at Boardwalk. Hope to get pictures and such - granted they will be in a Fancy Red Book.

All the best to everyone. Hope everyone is well. Cheers!

Seems to me a converted manual 430 is a killer buy right now. The big discount off the price of a factory manual is irrational. A converted 430, like a converted 355, is the exact same car as the factory manual. Nothing gets hacked up, welded, rewired, repainted, etc. It's bolt-off, bolt-on. The only ding is "originality" but in this case the original configuration isn't all that desirable. If someone can explain any actual real difference between a factory manual 430 and a converted manual 430 other than a line of text on the window sticker, please tell me.

Just my opinion but do not personally think the difference in result is only because of a difference in the market.

IMO a bigger factor was presentation.

Goes from Texas location, a big clean hanger and excellent photos to Minnesota in the wet surrounded by piles of plowed snow. Completely different vibe, and all around, not for the better.

Agree on presentation for sure. That car got a bad rap. Really a great driving car, but needed a few cosmetics that I was unaware of and the quick flips definitely affected warm fuzzies much less the icy presentation.

Someday over libations the real story will be told.

It's period correct for 90's exotics. The 348, 355, and Viper were available in this color combination. I personally love it in Berlinetta/GTS form.

Just saw that yellow car’s twin on the road up here a couple days ago; I don’t mind the color combo either. While tan wouldn’t be my first choice to go with a yellow exterior, it’s better than a red interior on that car.

Final sale was $190,355, crushed that $140K prediction so that's great news for 355 owners. The seats definitely helped too.

That’s $195,355 gentlemen. Proof BAT has that extra sauce.
