no offense but that spec does nothing for me. you may take a big hit on resale or trade in.
Hard to predict. It’s not resale silver, red or grey, but it’s probably 1 of 1 so you don’t need too many prospective buyers to fall in love with it. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I bet it would be sold in a day, it is stunning and I believe they discontinued the color so you wont likely see it again. As of today and probably for the next few months you cant get any PTS colors so you are stuck to the few std colors they offer.
This. You could offer to complete the original deal and let the salesperson figure out whether he/she wants to make their May goal. If you are willing to walk, there’s always another great car tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Its the GM causing the headaches, the sales person agrees with me but has no say. What's funny is I tried to get an allocation for a GT Turbo and the GM didnt initially give me one so I got it from another dealer almost immediately. 2 weeks later they call and say one popped up. The sales guy lost that sale because of the GM and now may lose this one. Silly games.
I would let the GM know you are complaining to PCNA, and are going to be very noisy about it in the Porsche community. I might also try escalating to the dealer principal, or if they are part of a big dealer group, into the executive ranks there.
I’m going through the same thing. I asked my dealer for a GTS in late 2021. Finally got an allocation in July 2022. At that point, I was told it would be 50k over MSRP. I told them I’m passing. Sales person told me not to back out as mark up will probably lower as time passes. The manufacturing process started in September and ended in April. During that time period, it went from 50k to 30k, then to 20k over. The car is scheduled to be at my dealer in less than 2 weeks. From day one, I told my sales person I would not be paying anything over MSRP. I guess we will see…
I’m done paying ADM. My 911 is older, but our Macan was bought new when there was no inventory, so $5K markup. If we hadn’t needed a new DD urgently I would have passed. Hopefully you get your 911 at MSRP. I suspect things will get back to normal soon, though there’s a lot of pent up demand. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
The sales person also benefits from the higher transaction value… just sayin’. Hope they are being straight with you. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Just to clarify, you ordered the car and the price was “X” …. Car comes in and now price is “X” + $15,000? What did they even say ? What’s the excuse ? MDS
The gm was supposed to call me yesterday but I didn't hear from him. I should have an update tomorrow.
dont take his call. let him leave a message. that way you will get a preview of his first offer. be strong. take the emotion out of it. its now a business negotiation.
Good news, we worked it out today. No yelling, just good old fashion talking. I drove it to the shop for film and detailing, when they went to bring it indoors it freaked out and wouldn't start. Tow truck comes tomorrow. So far not so good.
Only downside to waiting is that Porsche is raising their prices. For example the Targa GTS4 is now $10K more and this color I chose is not $30K vs. $11K. It is now considered PTS+. In all, my same car is about $40K more if ordered today. Just crazy.
wheel and tire warranty package as I get a credit for it if I sell or trade it. They will just pro rate the amount left.

A neat blend of modern and retro. Nobody does it better than Porsche. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
