Another possibility is a modern and innovative version of the split-window design along the lines of the 1963 Corvette.

Ok lets unpack this for interest sake:
F1 - last world championship - 2007 - 15 years ago?? I don't think I am being to hard with the effort and money spent and with the poor result/s.
SF90VS - my personal choice. I did try "like" the SF90 but it left me cold. While Valhalla was pushed back so was MB Project One - so what, I am patient
When you have been a brand ambassador for many years and have had many many FCars (v8's/V12's) and the company disappoints you, you voice your opinion. They are not above criticism. Now having said that F167 is of particular interest and I will get one based on what I know about the car.
There will be a 296VS if history is anything to go by (been confirmed by my dealer if you must know (even though I don't put much cred. into what dealers say)).

I think many long term FCar buyers are annoyed with Ferrari on a many fronts. They need to know and respond accordingly by doing what IMO they used to do best - make super engaging cars.

This is my guess for weeks... Check out my posts about it: #3176 (Mar 31, 2023) and #3439 (May 1, 2023)
And now take a closer look at the prototype areal in Maranello. What do we see in the mid of the red circle? Exactly: a vehicle with a split rear window...;)

If true, I am wondering if Ferrari got a bulk discount on an order of rearview cameras+digital rearview mirrors, as it sure seems they want to push those to make an already "digital overload" interior even more so. Bah.

That split rear window May in fact be dark seats on what is otherwise a white or very light interior giving the illusion from on high

We all know how much Ferrari loves Digital Rear View Cameras and Vortice Generators.

And we all know how much WE love actually having some natural light in the cabin.

This would represent a potentially optimal way to bring all these things together.

Dark seats? Now that’s funny. Talk about trying to throw the hounds off the scent.

Hm... but even with the current prototype, only one half of the rear window can be seen. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's curious.

They are not "last place" which was my point - Mclaren etc against the winning team and drivers.
I would expect it comes down to money / priorities.
Mercedes F1 car for the street - Valhalla is a Mercedes engine with hybrid which Ferrari Mclaren Lambo Porsche accomplished. I own Aston Mac etc and love them but losing faith in Aston.
    Ferrari critics - sold out 2025. :)

I understand what you are saying - love other brands especially when they create competition.

This is a screen from my video during the spot in Maranello… the rear window is clean. There are no fins in the middle. This car will be a 365 Daytona mixed with the Roma

Be surprised if they reference 365 Daytona. They said they used the 365 as inspiration for the 812. More recently they are using slightly more obscure cars as inspiration, for example 296 and 250LM and SP3 and P5. Given the Roma shape featuring more heavily in the mules, that suggests 275 to me and maybe some inspiration from the one-off Omologata. Total guesswork though.

The 275 was mentioned with the F12berlinetta. I think Flavio and his team is using a transversal method to get inspirations from the past but they are trying to built something new.. and we can see this very well with the Icona serie: The Monza > barchetta, the same but different.. the same with the Daytona.. To start from the past to fly into the future and produce something unseen, with a strong personality

Can we infer this means one year ago at least parts of the design were definitive? Seems like a long time since...

What is the expected date of reveal for F167, again?

I thought the Daytona would be the inspiration for a next Icona ?

I have no idea about the next Icona.. but my feeling is they will use the V8TT from the SF90..

I disagree. I was thinking the same thing as Lukeylikey … that the 812 used the 365 GTB/4 as its direct inspiration. I don’t think they are going to use the same inspiration. I believe they will use a car that was produced EARLIER than the 365 GTB/4 as the inspiration.

    isot, thanks for your contribution.
I thought the inspiration would be the 250 GTO (SI or SII), but the 365 Daytona is beautiful and iconic too.
Can you say something about the rear lights?

Here’s my speculation. The “split rear window” isn’t exactly that. I’m thinking the rear glass could actually be more vertical behind the driver similar to an F355 and the center piece that appears to “split” the glass is more a floating buttress similar to the 599. @ingegnere What say you?
