this, I think it fits well. afterall the definition of the more focused special edition ferraris are that they perform better on track
There definitely was an SF90 XX car, I saw it at Zanasi in January 2022.. from what I know of the VS it will be related to that, but if Ferrari want to admit to that is any ones guess, can see both sides of the argument.
He’s either living in a non extradition country building Chevy Cruze or applying for jobs with Chines automakers with an inordinate amount of F1 aero and hybrid tech knowledge.
some more info: * launch event in maranello late june * prior sf90 ownership is required. new info though is that one must continue to own the sf90 up to actual delivery of the sf90vs * there is no short circuit to sustained active sf90 ownership. you could have every other car they made and no sf90 - you will not get an sf90vs * likely there will be a "larger than usual (six figure) deposit" to the factory - not your dealer * total production numbers are going to be really low (probably less than 800) so getting an allocation is going to be really hard. * expect a multiyear rofr on resale of the car (meaning they can buy it back from you first to discourage flipping) * spiders are factory allocated and will be in the realm of unobtainium for all but the very top clients. * biggest "performance limiting factor" is tires - therefore expect only a modest horsepower upgrade. * it appears they know people took a big risk with buying an sf90 in the first place and they want to try to change their model around a little bit. they may want to reward people who took the risk on a "new unknown first ferrari hybrid" vs. the flipper folks who buy the a base model car and dump it right away to get the vs. * it is still unclear to me if you purchased an sf90 second hand (versus getting an allocation and speccing your own car that you still own) whether you would be eligible for an sf90vs. it is unclear to me how these requirements may impact the used sf90 market. as of right now, cars.com shows 84 stradales's and 16 spiders; will be interesting to track these numbers and avg pricing over the next few weeks/months. * people selected will probably know by mid/end of summer.
This is verbatim what I’ve been told. Deposit is $120K. Agreement is 18 months not to move the car. Confirmed that current SF90 must be held until VS arrives. Selections being made by Ferrari and spiders reserved for Christ and a few of his lucky friends.
If I can interact but coming from a UK & EU side, I believe less than 800 is wrong.. I believe it’s 799C/399S or more likely 699C/499S as Top Clients are choosing the Spider Option. I heard €100,000 deposit, no contractual buy back, this might be a USA thing. Yes, as I posted before they will try to reward the Risk/Early Adopters of first Ferrari Hybrid, AF pack scores V. highly. Not more than 100 Hp and 75KG less than AF car is my guesstimate. I’m starting to think the AF Coupe could become the sweet spot in the range. Good luck to everyone, it will be an amazing hardcore Ferrari..
My dealer was still waiting to hear about owned vs on order, or like in my example, about to get on the boat for delivery. Fewer allocations than with the 812C.
Your rumors are fairly accurate, I am looking forward to attending the event in Italy on the 25th of June. Regarding the number of cars, I have no idea, just hearing rumors, but I was told it is quite exclusive. The US deposit number is accurate. One of the more exciting debuts. I did talk to someone who has seen both the coupe and Spyder. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
I have…a coupe. I’m guessing several others here have as well. My dealer didn’t have anyone qualify for the spider. Not sure on how many others from my dealer got the call as it’s always tight-lipped, but it appears they can be counted on one hand…without using all the fingers. Invited to Maranello for the June 26th unveiling. I suppose it’s a bit like winning the lottery, only the tickets are much more expensive
Where did you get that from again? The car has all-wheel drive and with the Michelin Cup 2 R is quite possible. The Mercedes One and many other sports cars have them. So that can't be an excuse, with the tires you can set a new record.
It was only a matter of time until the AI bots began to infiltrate. Apparently comprehension still needs a little work though. Regardless, welcome aboard
You think a model change due to customer demand - wish they would but think that horse left the barn. Hybrid Ferrari is becoming a separate world and the more you support Ferrari / dealer they support you.
Nothing official - people don't own a car until it's titled to an owner. Was told it's ok to share - good luck to everyone.
