    Hi,
I am looking for a better spring setup for my 355 and have been searching for an adapter that would convert the original coilover to use 60 mm springs instead of the original 100 mm. Has anyone seen such a kit or done this? And no I am not interested in going all the way and changing dampers as well ;-)

A search gave me this old post without answers...
So nearly 14 years later, anyone knows if there is a solution to fit smaller diameter springs on original coilovers?

The likely course is to have such spring perches machined.

Sorry, I did not take any photos. I got standard H&R springs that are x3 stiffer than stock. The nice advantage is you can play with spring rates to match your driving needs.

Not sure if anyone else is, have not heard of anyone else, but as mentioned they are pretty easy to have machined. Good luck!

Yes, pretty easy if you have a machine shop and you know what to do.
    Otherwise... o_O

Hill Engineering make the standard retainers, I am sure they can machine a modified set for your needs if you ask them.

I was supposed to purchase the last setup Delta Vee had left. He’s not making any more of those top mounts unless another 5 buyers want to purchase. He still has my $3500 deposit and has been MIA since October 22.

The smaller diameter spring perch most likely comes from another damper for another car as his are blue in color.

Well, you talked about Bilstein Japan and post a pic from something else...
Why not posting a direct link from where you saw this pic?
    It would be more helpfull.
    Thanks.

Bilstein Japan is the one who put together the setup in the pic.

You think I have a link to every picture ive saved over the last 15 years?

Well because Bilstein built that shock but they used parts from hyperco. I mean your welcome to call bilstein about another company's parts or call the company that sells the parts Bilstein used. Up to you but it seems pretty clear who to call about hyperco perches.

It's fine, I will refrain from helping.
And by all means, post back what Bilstein tells you when you ask them about hyperco perches.

Hyperco springs and ICP perch are standard products anyone can purchase from Hyperco. The custom top mount and lower spring perches were custom built by Bilstein Japan.

    Relax ;)

Perches are not the issue. easy to do.
Sensible parts are the top mounts.
Without them, there is no way to fit narrow springs.
