    Hey All,

My AC recently crapped out on me and air only circulates to my windshield. Obviously with the summer coming up, I would love to get this repaired. According to my mechanic (Universal Autosports in Farningdale, NY) it is a faulty AC deflector box which is common on these.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement or if it’s possible to fix? Apparently, it’s a tough part to find.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Not available anymore, only solution is to repair it, there are six chips that controlls the different functions.

Does he know that the actuators also fail? That's just as common. Also I'm working on my car at the moment and there is a physical constriction somewhere, stopping the deflector (tambour) moving smoothly. Also, these systems get confused sometimes. A battery reset sometime works (then allow the car to warm up).

Anyone who knows how to properly solder a chip on a circuit board.

    Replace chip #5.

That’s what it was on a friends car. Chip #5. Fairly simple repair.
