So you know the screen lists drivers yes? The colors on the screen are green, yellow, and purple given the sector(3 of them) on a specific track. green-->stands that driver set their personal best for the day. yellow-->means they fell short on their best time. purple-->means that that driver set the best sector of anyone else for that session.
These are mini sector times per driver. purple means that they have set a specific time in that mini sector that is best of all drivers. green means they have set a time in that sector on this lap that is their personal best for the session. Yellow means they are slower than their personal best in that mini sector. In the example above, probably what you are seeing is the people at the very top lie PER and VER are on outlaps or cooldown laps. (so all yellows as they are not pushing) Bottas has just started a fast lap, LeClerc and Sainz are pushing hard on their laps but are not overtaking the leaders most likely as they are just setting personal vs overall bests
Thank you. Howmdomi interpret a sector that has multiple colors? Also, is there a dsra screen that shows tire age
The boxes are mini-sectors, so they are multiple points tracking within each individual sector - its just extra data. On the right of the screen are the full sectors with times. If a sector was a personal best the time would be in green (or purple if that lap was a all-driver best).
I wouldn't put too much trust on tire age analytics. Different cars degrade tires from different compounds given the track asphalt and track temperature and IF there's more wear on the left or right side of the car given the number of left and right turns.
During the GP the Data screen chsnges to this. Can you help me interpret this and why it is different than qualifying? Also what is the number at the end of the bars in the circle? And the numbers in the beginning of the bars in the circle? I like the sector indicators better on qualifying vs the times being displayed. Why is it this way for the GP? The numbers at the end of the circle is the lap they are on. I cannot make out the numbers at the beginning of the circle. I did notice 2 drivers with a red line at the beginning of the circle so it's possible they started on the red banded tire(softs)? I don't know why the screen changes from qualifying to the actual race. My guess is to possibly differentiate the 2 screens. Hope this helps.
I think the number at the end it is not total laps, but laps on the last tire change? This would explain why some drivers are on lap 18 and some on 2?
