Who cares about $10k to make it perfect….I mean it is not new, so…perfect is subjective. But at $199k and some duty, what is another $10k….can’t split hairs on rare cars. On a $50k car, $10k is a lot. A $200k car, just the price of admission or the juice at some auctions [emoji2373] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Agree, I would expect to spend another $10 to $15k easy on a F355/360 or even an F430 regardless of what the Seller tries to convince you of it not needing anything.
Understood, but are you willing to split hairs on a rare spec? If you are not in love with the spec, I’m sure you’ll come across a better deal at some point. I haven’t seen a fully sorted car offered for sale. I could pick out flaws or things that were needed on a 355 that sold for $300k.
See, the problem I have with spending $200k or more on a 355 of any body is there are just too many other cars in that price range that are better cars. Example, Porsche 911 GT3. Image Unavailable, Please Login Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Image Unavailable, Please Login 2020 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R Coupe Image Unavailable, Please Login Need I go on? But, as I said, if I was in the market for a 355 coupe that car Swaters Blue would be my choice.
A matter of opinion of course but if I thought any of those cars were better I would have one. (I don't)
Exactly. Or if you're actually interested in purchasing the car, call them and offer them $10k less. Worst they can say is no. Maybe they split it with you?
Ok, true confession. The problem I have with the Swaters Blue F355B is that it's not in my garage!!!! I can't imagine the blue glow it would bring parked next to my Swaters blue/tan spider. I mean, a matched set of the two perfect cars (Not a GTS fan, never will be). But, no room, and the wife would not let me spend FL condo money on another car. More over all, it is really hard for me to justify the price of these cars today. Memorial Day will be 10 years with my spider. I looked at 4 other Swaters blue spiders before I popped on this one, and I got the best of the bunch and it was the lease expensive, under $50k. So, I just have a very hard time thinking about spending 4x that on a B. All the cosmetic issues (vents etc) are easily handled DYI, and the PS tank isn't an issue, and the fuel recall isn't necessary if the clamps are positioned correctly. Little issues will come up with the car, but as Rob said, what's $10k to make it right? It's like my Magic Bus. I want it, I want it, I want it. (Wife --- You can't have t.)
@johnk.8967 I clicked on your Profile Page to see if you had a picture of your car but you know what happened when I did that so would you mind posting a pic of your Car? I would like to see it, I had a F355 for 10 years but it was 10 years ago and they are special and I never get tired of seeing them.
Or mine You should have seen her face when I told her I was considering getting an F355 back in the Garage...
1) Got to have a spider. 2) By the time I sold the spider the B would be gone. 3) The idea of twins excited me.
Did we discuss this one? https://www.gasmotorcars.com/vehicle-details/used-1999-ferrari-f355--marietta-ga-id-50881143
The Blu Swaters car is still available. For some reason the dealer only listed on Rennlist and not their own site.
That is odd, it is a Porsche Dealer though so maybe their not supposed to have Ferrari's on their site... it is also odd that they would post on Rennlist since that is 90% hard core Porsche folks. Oh well, their loss on not marketing it properly.
