348 Gear Shift Surround - Free

Lucas you should have left that K40 in the car, they were the best there were back in the day. I have one that came with my 996TT and I turn it on occasionally just for the fun of it. Was out driving it the other day and had it on and the misses asks what is all that beeping? I told her it was the radar detector telling me every car that has front and rear blind spot warnings.

 

I have a K40 in my 1999 550. It was installed by the original owner when he bought the car. The radar and laser detection features still work perfectly but occasionally it beeps regularly at ten second intervals. That happens when the sensor in the front grill gets dirty...

I wipe it with a wet rag and it works perfectly again.

 

I'll use it to make a mold for reproductions, carbon or fiberglass etc if you still have it.
