Hi, I may be interested. Do you know if these are original OEM, or reproductions? I'm guessing re-pro, but my main concern is whether or not they are set with the correct pressure. Not sure how to PM you on this forum.

    Thanks, AT

I replaced them with an older repro that is slightly more accurate. Both pairs have about the same pressure

If they are repros, an accurate reading of the pressure ought to be provided,
and thus assure that the hood mounts do not suffer, as this can distort the whole assembly.

Howard, I really have no idea, as I ignore if there are specifications to that extent.
It is quasi similar to hydraulic doors that have a return system, that is based upon the weight
    of the door itself.

I am certain we all have run into a situation that a building / office door is almost impossible to open
for someone with an incapacity, or a child.

My concern, due to the fragility (not an American pickup) of the hood assembly, I am certain that Ferrari, would specify accurate
pressures based on the weight of the hood. Or...not :)
Daytona hoods are heavy to lift single handed, without the help of the shocks. I have seen many that shoot up, and many that are
partially discharged, thus making it a difficult chore.

I have a contact in Canada that rebuilds the original units, and will give him a call to enquire. Will report.
Timo also rebuilds them, so he must know something we do not, considering his vast experiences with Daytona.
Replica shocks are potentially a rat trap.

    Best, Alberto
