Does anyone have any recommendations on how I can hookup a battery tender in absence of a power outlet? My building has zero electrical outlets nearby. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

Any windows or doors nearby that you can hook up a small solar panel to? Some of them have alligator clips to attach to the battery.

Not sure which model you are dealing with. Older Ferraris can tolerate a battery kill switch which is another way to stop parasitic drain.

Do a search for portable battery packs, you might find a solution there.

I’d second this. Without a tender your next best option is a proper kill switch on the battery. Not as effective however as your battery will still drain over time while parked.

I'm in exactly the same situation-

GoalZero Yeti - Various power outputs at related price- All work great- Plug the tender in and depending on which unit you buy you can just leave it and recharge weekly or use it sporadically to top off your battery- I have the 500x because it sits in the passenger footwell and I can cover the car while charging-

    Cheers:cool:

Thanks! How long does it last you with the tender plugged in? Do you have a 488?

We’ve had customers who own condos have us install outlets and even panels for them for these situations. We’ve seen an uptick in this work since electric vehicles have become more common. Other users have given some good suggestions too, things I didn’t know about.

My initial reply was kinda short yesterday as I was running around still, so I’m sorry but yeah this work can be done, and it’s really not that expensive even if you need a panel (last one we did was $1,500 all in). Most condos we’ve dealt with have assigned spots, and if yours doesn’t you can ask about one potentially.

This investment cost may be useful if you decide to sell the place in the future as even though the new person may not have the need for a trickle charger, electrics are becoming rather common.

I have a 458- Once it gets into float mode it will last a few days- I use a proper 4-stage battery tender- Not the factory one- I've heard the 1000x lasts a week- Cheers

I live in a Miami condo. No outlets where my spaces are or close by (no extension chords can be used, not legal/liability). I daily drive my Cali30 and usually never go on vacation more than 5 weeks at a time (although several times a year).

But this is how I would cope with a battery which is not 100%. I asked my F. dealer what battery boost they use and they said NOCO Boost GB150 jump starter. I bought one and keep it charged at home.

The 1500x probably even longer and fits in the trunk or front seat

I’m in a similar situation with a 2023 Roma. I drive the car about once a week. Also, once a week I do plug it in at friends homes. Each time I plug in I let the battery turn to green.

My suggestion is to date women who have electrical outlets and to sleep over once a week.

2022 Portofino M - left undriven a few times for a week - no problems. Went overseas for 3 weeks and coming back turning the power on lots of scary messages come up - airbag failure, tmps failure - contact dealer come up and battery meter shows 7.5V. Plug in the trickle and 12 hours later it shows happy. Car starts fine and no issues.

I have several exotics, live in a condo without outlets in parking. I use portable lithium power stations, I switch out every other week and weekly for F430 (parasitic drain is especially high on F430). I use bluetti 1500, gives about 48 hours of power to tender. I disconnect the Ferrari's in the winter.

Will research lithium power stations, that’s interesting (when being away for at least a few weeks). For now I use a NOCO boost if needed (I never had to use the device yet).
