    Out for a stretch of the legs today. Persuaded my wife we should take the gated 575 instead of the gated 430 as it wasn’t that sunny, always a highly memorable and satisfying drive.
    575 seems to get more looks and admiration as she gets older, starting to look truly classic, rather than just old.

    It has been very surprising the huge interest the 550 generated yesterday at Villa Erba, probably it has been the lot with higher number of bidders...

    Yes, and you basically don’t see these cars on the road at all. I live in expensive car central, London, and spend a lot of time in wealthy parts of Europe. In the wild, outside of car gatherings, in the past eight years since buying my 550 and 575, I have had fewer than 10 sightings of Maranellos. Maybe fewer than five.

    That is 100% true! I have experienced the same wherever I go with my 550. I saw ablack with full green interior and carbon sport seats at our local spring show in Oslo last weekend. There are 21 550s in Norway now. Back in 2003 when the 575 took over, there were only 3 550s here. All owned by the most weathy business men. So I follow in their foot steps and pretend like I am one of them... :)
