Question for BJ.. are the Longstone compounds the same as they were in 1989 or is it the same mold with a modern compound? If original, you’re probably better off with some continental DWS and save the Longstones for the concour field.

They are silver, but aged. I was going to refinish them.

I'm afraid nothing is the same as it was in 1989. I for one was a stunningly hansom, atheletic, adonis of a man without a care in the world! Im now a stessed fat bloke that drinks a bit too much with 3 kids at colledge.

And as a less important issue; many of the chemicals and materials that we are allowed to use in making tyres are now banned, so we have to devlop new compounds and structures to give the same effects while being less ozone angry. the eyres should give the same feedback, and handling, while at the same time giving better wet weather performance. these modern compounds do move water better. These are still the drivers choice tyre.

don’t push it at all on those old tires, they’re probably compromised even though they look okay.
