Memorial Day Marked the 10 anniversary of the day my 355 arrived at my home. Since then I've put about 13k miles on it. Other than installing Tubi headers back on 2020, the only significant problem with it was a failed MAF. Along the way I did replace the inner CV boots, a couple of O2 sensors and the coils, but those are insignificant in cost and effort. And one set of tires. Some other things were replaced as well, like hood struts and some cosmetic work on the interior. But the car has not been to any shop in these past 10 years. It's been a joy to own.

June 21 marks the 22 year of my F355 ownership. I have put 40K+ miles on it 5K+ on race tracks, and 6 or 7 sets of tires, 5 axel boots, 4 sets of brake pads, and 5 majors.........

Thank you for sharing the journey with the group, and by all accounts its a pretty smooth one too, minimal issues and no doubt lots of fun behind the wheel!!
Nice colour too!! I do like that...

I'm only up to 3 years with my 348TB, but I'm committed to the long haul so it will be 10 years soon enough....

I should clarify… I’ve added 55k myself, the car now has 80k miles on it. I’d like to reach 100k miles added by me, not too long now.

Congrats on your milestone. I am at 7 with mine, and I can still remember jumping into it after it came off the truck like it was yesterday afternoon. I completed my first major over the winter and other than a few minor repairs, it has been pretty reliable. I really don't think that owning and DIYing an older Ferrari would be possible or practical for anyone without this forum, it is the most important asset. Thanks to everyone that supports this forum.

Happy to hear of other with long term ownership ans putting on the miles. They are cars, after all, and the joy is in driving them.

Oh, and talk about me, Memorial Day weekend and Ferraris, Here is the delivery page from my 308 that I bought new in 1985. That one just turned 38! :)

Awesome man, congrats. I just realized I'm 10 years with mine, I've done 1 major, 1 clutch release bearing, new set of tires, a speedo potentiometer, new thermocouples, hood and engine lid struts, de-sticky and I want to say that's it. More reliable than some of my other cars, love these things.

16 years and just under 10k miles (25k total miles on odo). Two engine outs... oil change every 1-2 years... brake fluid change every 1-2 years. Lots of upgrades and no failures or breakdowns. I attribute a lot of the reliability to the Dave Helms gold connector kit that I had installed at my first engine out.

No revs… just kidding John, congrats on two amazing Ferraris! Cool thread btw.

I’ve done 3 Major majors in my 55k miles, due to mileage not belt age, just had another one done recently.

True! I'll do them at 15k miles, when ever that happens.

My 308 has 12 yrs on the belts, 5k miles. Not looking to do them anytime soon.

No, you're right. Most of the time I cruising around New England at somewhere between 2 and 4k. And as I have said numerous time I generally shift no higher than 6K which is basically 1st to 2nd and occasionally 2nd to 3rd. For some reason 6k just feels natural to me. Makes for a smooth transition. I like smooth. But I do abuse the Cayman a bit. :D

Yes I agree actually, when I was younger I’d take it up there but now it’s around 6 or 7 for me these days mostly. Enjoy the upcoming NE summer! I’ll be in Cape Cod soon myself.

Nice! 10 years is a good amount! I’m only around 4 years of ownership of my 355 but the 993 on the right has been with me for 12 years.
