I work with a dealer based in the NY/CT area—and I'm pleased to say that we have recently acquired 5163GT. The car was previously offered for sale by the Cultivated Collector out of New Canaan, CT.

I have a swath of documentation and literature that has accompanied the car—but I'm looking to uncover more information about it. Here is a brief rundown of what is known about the car:

    - Built in October, 1963, delivered new through Luigi Chinetti Motors and sold to its first owner somewhere in Southern California in 1965.
    - Restored in the mid-to-late '80s and repainted in Rosso Corsa (#300).
    - Submitted to several concours events in the early-90s, used sparingly.
    - Offered by Fantasy Junction in '98 for $149,500.
    - Restored with few expenses spared beginning in 2014 after being acquired by a previous owner. Returned to silver against red interior specification.
    - Awarded Platino award at 2017 Cavallino Classic, thereby chosen by Ferrari S.p.A. for their 70th Anniversary lineup at the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours (where 5163 would also go on to win the People's Choice Award in the 1960s category)

Happy to hear any comments/further information anyone may be able to share. And I should specify—the car will be associated with our dealer but we are NOT selling it anytime soon.

    Thanks,
    RR

Indeed ;) I personally haven't seen the car yet so I didn't have any photos on hand. We will be presenting it at the Greenwich Concours this Sunday so I will be sure to upload many more photos to this thread after the weekend. Thank you for the start, Mr. Massini!

Not certain on the exact name of the silver paint. Hoping to figure that out soon. I work with HK Motorcars.

    Cheers!

Not to derail this too much but I see your dealership sells Glickenhaus cars. Is the 003 still being built? Do you know how many were built so far?

I, Gran Touring Classics in Long Beach, CA, did that restoration on the car and assisted showing the car at Cavallino in 2017.

While unfortunately I'm not exactly at leisure to discuss the status of our 003 program, I can say that we are focusing most of our resources on our 004, 007, and Boot vehicles at this time. As you know Le Mans is coming up for our 007s, but we also producing 004s and Boots. Happy to answer more questions over DM.

    But anyways, back to S/N 5163 ;)

In other news, happy to say that we took home a class award and the Lime Rock specialty award at the Greenwich Concours this past weekend! An excellent event with a swath of exceptional cars—and our first chance to really stretch 5163's legs.

Please do feel free to keep adding along to this thread if you happen to know anything about 5163 that hasn't already been mentioned. I would love to gather as much information as possible.

Also—5163 was repainted in "Grigio Fumo" during its 2014-2016 restoration.

Grigio fumo is one of my favorite 60s Ferrari colors.
