looking for a legible schematic to use in tracking down why both my windows suddenly ceased to work
I have the owner's manual version but I'm old and blind lol.
I restored both window motors, installed electrical boosters, changed all relays, and upgraded a turtlefarmer fuse panel.
everything worked perfectly for quite some time. one day I went to lower both windows simultaneously and both stopped abruptly. fuses all good and 2 new relays

    Hi Matt

Had a similar problem with my passenger side window. Turned out it was a failure of the old original window switch on the driver's door that controls the passenger window. I disassembled the old original rocker switch in an attempt to clean and repair it. Lasted a few days, then quit again. Switches are readily available from the usual vendors. Might want to take a look at the switches as a possible culprit. Seems like more than a coincidence, however, that both windows would fail at the same time. With all the work you've done to insure/improve function of the system, did you also refurbish/replace the switches?

Matt, when you're asking for help, it makes it much easier to provide a useful reply if you specify what year and model and version you're asking for. There were differences between early 308s and later 308 QVs, between US and Euro models, etc.

are you thinking a failed drivers side switch could disable both windows?

Not sure if the your setup is the same as my '76. My passenger window can be controlled from the driver's side as well as from the switch on the passenger side door. To be more clear, in my situation the failed driver's side switch in turn lead to the passenger side switch being inoperative thus disabling the passenger window motor. No adverse effect on the other switch on the driver's door that operates the driver's side window. As I had mentioned, it seems like more than a coincidence that both your side windows are inoperative, and in thinking about your situation it would appear less likely that the window switches themselves are to blame. They are, however, an easy component to assess, and given the effort you've already put into the window lift system it might be of benefit to insure that the switches are in good working order. In the end it will probably/hopefully be a simple fix.
