The heater in the Mondial was stuck in the on position, so before I left Melbourne Carl had the heater hose clamped off. Turns out someone tried to sort it in the past and was very heavy handed and broke the connection on the heater valve so it was permanently in the on position. It was too hard a job for me to solder back as there was no wire left. A new heater valve is $1000 if you can find one. Turns out Ferrari used the same valve up until the 550. I found a guy on eBay located in South Australia that is wrecking a low mileage LHD 456. $300 later the new (used) valve arrived during the week and I installed it this morning. All good, works perfectly I dismantled the old one and the diaphragm looked pretty ****ed anyway. was there anything that actually worked on that car? Will be a good car for the next owner when you get bored with it
I can’t help but create order out of chaos Adrian will be so pleased with it when I sell it to him for $50k
Superformance have the rebuild kit for the heater tap. I've fitted a few for customers. Cheap and works.
Yeah, there are a few places that sell rebuild kits. The problem with mine was the wire to the connection plug had been snapped off at the level of the electromagnetic coil. Too hard to solder for me
Yes, I saw that mate. But I saw the plunger looked terrible and wasn't sure if you were aware the kits were available for them.
We need a poll. "Whom worked on Gregs Mondial last? 1.Workshop with a web site 2.Workshop owned money by a V8 owner. 3 ZAGs
I'll guarantee the Dutton/CTS group would know someone.....................and yes I'm watching my step with what I'm printing.
