Whatever you feel about the drivers I'd think any F1 fan would be rooting for Mercedes to close the car performance gap to RB.
Even if it won't happen this year who WOULDN'T want to see a rematch of 2021, with Max and Lewis in a fair fight??

No doubt that played a big part, but doesn't explain Checho's poor start or inability to get close enough to George to make him even defend.

The best part of yesterday’s race was watching Max take the checkered flag, fly home, have dinner, shower and return to the track before Hamilton crossed the finish line

For the drama. Ive never owned a Benz, a Red Bull (though my Honda CRX I suppose gives me some link) or an Aston, and Ferrari is beyond hope… but Max vs Lewis II is a battle I’d love to see.

Agree. For the last 6 six laps, it seems he ran out of steam. He was getting closer and closer and then, nothing.

They pitted nearly the same time as the other cars for their final stop and Charles wanted softs.... Like everyone else.

Christian Horner has revealed that he will talk to Max Verstappen after the Red Bull driver seemingly ignored team orders to avoid pushing for fear of exceeding track limits during the Spanish Grand Prix.

Max could have exceeded track limits 3 times after given the black and white flag(5 second penalty = 15 seconds) and still would have won the race.

The only thing I can think to add is that on the F1 TV grid walk, Will Buxton was just talking full speed the entire time, didn't talk to anyone else, just filled the entire time with talking right up to the National Anthem. I'm just not a fan of the grid walk format, no matter who does it. Not sure how many other "entertainment" shows or live worldwide broadcasts just hand someone a mic and hope they run into someone to talk to.

But William is right! the ONLY thing that matters in the end are results; AND there was one Ferrari in the front row at the start, and the other one, well...somewhere else, lost in the woods. More and more, I'm fearing that Charles is just a fast idiot. Speed is useless if you can't convert it into results. And I don't like idiots.
Dollar for dollar, I'm beginning to think that Carlos Sainz, Jr, will be a better investment for the Scuderia in the end.

He never really recovered after giving that win away in France. So I feel. He lacks the precision needed so far. Bad car not helping but I dont see him fighting like I do with FA, Max or LH. He is much less impressive over time. Hopeful that will change. Carlos, not as fast naturally but still the smarter racer overall to me.

I completely disagree. We've see his talent since he first arrived on the scene and he has shown he can race Verstappen wheel-to-wheel. Whether Ferrari squanders that or ruins him, well, that remains to be seen. This team does make a habit of doing that, which makes them increasingly difficult to support.

We had drivers who were not naturally gifted as some of their peers, but obtained results through hard graft, and better use of opportunities.
Jack Brabham, Graham Hill and his son Damon, and also Mansell were of that ilk.

Talent marred by mistakes that continue. His history shows much of this. It is now his reputation to be fast but mistake filled.

Yes. Enough. We have had enough. We need a better formula to include circuits that provide racing not venue's for celebs. I have zero faith in Liberty. Add cost cap and this formula is dead now. Its just dead. There is no competition left. You bring a car to race and by race X- pick one below 10, you are now facing just developing for the next year. If you are .4 or more behind you are not competitive.
