I do think the rake of the front and rear body on the Tecnomodel is too exaggerated. The shape of the real one is slightly more subtle.

The color looks close, but the wheels are way oversized as usual.

I like BBR but I love CMC

For the price (when new at RRP) I can't think of a more detailed, value for money, collectible model then them.

Thanks for the 195 photos. Have to say I’m very torn. Have wanted that model for ages and it looks nice but not really very true to the real thing looking at the photos.

I have taken the plunge and pre ordered the 499P - hoping they turn the 1st qualifying round success into a race win!

That's why when a new CMC model is released (especially a Ferrari) and is made as a limited edition release they are sold out very quickly. For example with the special versions of the 275 GTB/C as collectors know they rise greatly in value once they are all gone.

I don't think the same buying frenzy occurs with BBR models.

I agree, CMC has a diferent "allure" to their models. i love Bbr and most of the times their lines are more acurate than cmc, but the later are more colectible and more special.....i regret no having the lm swb.....even if i think my elite one from Sterling Moss has the nicest livery and is a very good model at a very reasonable price.

Pedro, be happy with your SWB's from HW-Elite. I am already repainting the third SWB Competizione from CMC.
All of them had paint-rash (diecast-cancer), so if you think a model of CMC is the "Holy Grale", don't!

Sorry to hear that, my only model with that desease is teh gmp P4...and i love it...but it has only afected the engine cover, and it's not paint rash, rather something like cracked eggshell....

I guess I'm lucky that all my 30 or so CMC's including the 250 GT's and Bugatti Atlantic are all rash free.

Other than a 328 Kyosho model which has a bit on the front bonnet I'm pretty rash free. :)
