Cool man!

Just a basic service/regas? Or did it need some sort of repair?

 

I gassed it up too see if the compressor started working which it did, I'll see how it goes

This is pretty COOOL. The Mondial has a warning light when the aircon system doesn’t have enough refrigerant. So what went in the other day has leaked out. Now need to work out where the leak is….

Hope not, it’ll be a pain to get out. I’ve order a new drier as I have no idea if it’s ever been replaced. I’ll get my AC guy to hook it up and chase the leak

 

He would have put a UV dye in - easy to spot a leak, unless it's in the hoses in the sill

I just had a look at it and looks a bit original and crusty, so just ordered a new one from Maranello Classic Parts in the UK, not that expensive really

 

Ahh. The old shotgun diagnosis. Keep throwing parts at it until it's fixed.
The leak could be literally anywhere. Get your guy to check it first. They will be the original R12 hoses and probably perished. It could be the compressor, they leak from the front seal and I've even seen the body become porous. It could be the evaporator, I hope they are still available. It could be the condenser and if it's cheap enough no reason not to replace it, especially as there is no gas in it now anyway.

I'm the same mate. I have a garage full of parts that I've found on the net, ebay, etc. The stuff that's unobtainium now. Unsurprisingly though, whenever I need something, it never seems to be what I have in stock.

I love fixing this ****. I’ll buy the evaporator and get my AC guy to check everything else. Think I’ll change all the hoses too, I’ll see what he thinks
