You still don’t get it. Do you think the engineering, materials, quality control is the same between Pirelli and No Name Chinese Brand? It’s not about where it’s made but rather WHOM is the company. You guys buy based on price, deal with it
For a professional you don't read very well Greg,I only bought the 308 CT's because I was time poor and because the 308 GT4 tyre size and speed rating was unavailable in anything else except them. After having them on I was very surprised at their preformance, same as Pat. ...and how do YOU know what the Pirelli factory in China has got behind it's closed doors? Edit Shagger is wearing Dunlops from Thailand, when I go to the other shed later I'll see what is on the side of the Michys Marc got for me.
Just googled where are Michys made:Michelin produces tyres in France, Serbia, Poland, Spain, Germany, the US, the UK, Canada, Brazil, Thailand, Japan, India, Italy and several other countries. and.....Are Michelin tires made in China? Are Any Michelin Tires Made in China? Yes. The Michelin Group has a large presence in China that began in 1989. The company's Chinese manufacturing facilities are in Shenyang and Shanghai provinces.2 Jan 2023
I don't really care where something is made - it's the company I care about. My new iPhone 14 Pro was almost certainly made in China. Are some people saying in that case I may as well have bought a Huawei phone because it's the same thing?
What’s my “profession” got to do with the price of tyres? Stupid comment And you’re still ignoring the premise of all this arguing and bickering. It’s all about the company/brand NOT the place of manufacture
Reading why I ended up with my CT's,Pat had a different reason, but we were both happy with the results. ....and How do you know what is behind the closed factory doors.Pat's pic of his two cars is pretty much testament to that.
I get that, you'd LIKE to think all the various European and Japanese tyre companies have a tight reign over products with their name on......
Do you think the tyres are the same quality because they look the same? How’s your fake Rolex? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
He’s called dr lowball for a reason. Why would you put that **** on your car? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Fair dinkum you two outa get onto the same fairground roundabout. and actually read my post's. In my case I had no other option.
...and you've never tried 'em so you can't make a judgement purely because they're made in China. Talk about dogs chasing tails. Similar to you saying my prawns taste like shoit without having any and others saying they're ok.
I’ve bought cars that some tight arse has put Chinese tyres on and they were the first things to go. Why? Because they were crap. You can bang on all you like but try a set of XWXs on your 365 that your car’s suspension was designed for and then report back. In the meantime you are living in complete ignorance. Just to make it clear AGAIN I’m talking about Chinese designed/engineered tyres (who gives a flying **** where they’re made) vs OEM tyres (again whom gives a flying **** where they’re made - irrelevant) And no, I’ve never complained about your prawns
FFS this has been posted and agreed by Longstone, there weren't any in the country,I asked them on 365 thread and posted here,Marc tried to find some as well and only found the ones that are on it. What is the matter with you people ,when you can't find what you want you then have to make do with what is available at the time with the correct size and speed rating.
I get it and in that situation would have done the same thing. But then as soon as I returned to civilisation or the real option became available I would have got rid of them, if for no other reason than the embarrassment of driving around in a Ferrari on cheap Chinese tyres. It suggests poor / cheap-arse maintenance, rightly or wrongly.
