I have all the previous Ferrari overall Le Mans winners in 1/43 scale, mainly from Ixo.

Has anyone heard of any company doing the 499P in that scale?

Don't worry, everybody will do it in every scale. Hope they do a nice model in 1/12th scale also, maybe Top Marques and Hiro.

As I wrote in the other thread I'd say with its maiden victory, 100 years of leman celebrations, 50 years since its last Ferrari entry and Lemans 10th win, the 499P will be one of those models that ALOT of model makers will replicate over time.

Looksmart and BBR announced the launch version months ago and will undoubtedly do the Le Mans Winner in both 1/43 and 1/18. A 1/43 resin printed kit has been produced by an individual although it contains no decals and the maker says while he is confident that "someone" will make decals you are completely on your own to obtain them. See kit picture below.
In 1/24 scale Profil24 announced a Le Mans resin kit a few months ago so their mailbox is probably exploding right about now.

I'm going to wait for a finished model, either die-cast or resin and fully finished. Since it has to be the winner, it will have to be the #51 car.

As I said - Looksmart and BBR. Neither offer kits although BBR used to.

I’m like you, my extensive collection (started 45 years ago as a teenager) is only in 1/43

Yes, both will do it in 1/43 Scale.
The lookmart should be around 110€ and the BBr 160€ but quality wise, they will be very similar.

And, of course, these days Spark produce every Le Mans runner, every year, in 1/43 (with some made in 1/18).

I only have about a dozen: the nine Ferrari Le Mans winners and a handful of other sports prototypes and F1 cars. I actually own more 1/18 models.

Are your 1/18 models related to racing/F1 or a mix of different automobiles?

I enjoy collecting small-scale models. I have more than 200 1/43 models (the majority from the 70s and 80s), with regular cars from Ford, Chevrolet, Citroen, VW, Peugeot, Renault, Pontiac, Lincoln, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Jeep, etc…

All Ferraris, except for one Gurney Eagle. Nearly all F1 cars with a handful of sports prototypes.

With all the Ferrari licensing over the last few years, back to Mattel Hot Wheels out in 2015, it may be Bburago for affordable 1/43 of the 499P. I have a few of the "Signature" ones, like the 312P, and they are good. Not crazy detailed, but good shelf stuff like IXO.

Pre-order on ebay from Bburago in 1/43. Looks like the low-end plastic one. Signature series probably soon to follow.

They do not list the correct drivers for the #51 winning car... probably a web site error not relevant to the models.

I want a 1/12 and would be great if they do a Lego one like The SP3 Daytona set.

So this "homemade" 1/43 kit came up on another model group and Michael Portaro of Indycals had a few remarks. Basically he said it's from a widely available file found online and it contains many errors. He also said that almost nothing about it is right. I wasn't considering it anyway because of the maker's responses to people asking about decals but the remarks from Indycals definitely put any thought of buying one out of my head.

Replying to my own post to add in a new post where Michael Portaro, owner of Indycals, expands upon his comments on the homemade 1/43 resin 499P kit.
