    I have a new SF90 Spider with full Novitec exhaust with the 100 cell cats. After driving for 20 minutes or so, the limit engine power message flashes in 4th gear at around 7500rpm (often when I’m shifting to 5th). It almost feels like the injectors cut off as I reached this RPM. Anyone experienced this? Any ideas? Hoping this is jsut related to the car having 200 miles on it and maybe there is an electronic nanny for this until a certain mileage. Maybe not…please give advice if you have any. Ferrari can’t help much because of the exhaust system needing the OBD port for the Novitec plug that corrects the exhaust codes.

    Make the car back to OEM and see if novitec is the problem. You don’t want to go to service with exhaust asking about CEL. This might will be on record which in turn will be used against you.

    Which is funny, given that they max out the engine on the bench dyno, before fitting it into the car.

    I had to go back to stock. Novitec had terrible customer service and ghosted me after I described the issue. I had to engage an attorney to try to recover funds. I ended up speaking with other well known shops/installers who have dealt with the same issue and they all told me it’s better just to remove it from these hybrid Ferraris.

    That is disappointing to hear. Not the first time I’ve heard it either. It’s too bad because the exhausts do sound the best to me…

    Yeah, I’ll get it for my 812 still, and I love the pipe on my Pista…likely won’t touch the sf90 when it comes.

    Can I ask 2 questions?

    1. Are you US based?
    2. Did you have catless downpipes or 100-cell?

    If you're in the states you're better off dealing with TAG Motorsports or another Novitec dealer rather than Novitec USA themselves.
    Secondly, DO NOT install catless downpipes. Even Novitec themselves don't recommend it, there isn't enough backpressure for the car to run happily. 100-cell cats result in a much happier car.

    In any case - sorry to hear about the headaches you've had. Major PITA

    Yes I am based in the US and yes I went through a well-known retailer. Neither one we’re very helpful and things got tough. It was a shame because I’ll never buy from either one of those groups again. It was the 100 cell cats.

    Novitec definitely sounds better than it did stock but nowhere near as good as the Novitec system on a V12. It’s not that big of a loss after all I went through anyway. The hybrids are just meant to be quiet unfortunately.

    Thank you for this. I was planning on going full Novitec on my SF90, but no longer. PPF, tint and wheels/tires. Nothing more.

    Doesn't have anything to do with hybridisation. It's all about being turbocharged and of course the new sound regulations.

    No I mean hybridization is why they can’t get the exhaust systems to work correctly. I spent $13k in labor to know for sure.

    Gentle counterpoint - I know of 5 cars with the setup you had that work absolutely perfectly. It's not a blanket rule that all cars will have issues, just to be fair

    I can’t find a single owner to substantiate that and Novitec couldn’t help with their own product. Believe me, I wanted it to work!!

    I’m very interested in that because the x pipe made a WORLD of difference for my Pista.
