  1. I am more puzzled a to why you are comparing a Ferrari to a Rolex.

A Ferrari is at least a Patek.

Ferrrari is synonymous with F1 so I am ok with the interior becoming more like F1. F1 doesn’t have an analogue tach.

You are absolutely right and I am totally on your line.
Pais, I will summarize the situation for you. Why make an effort when the order books are full, by copying and pasting their digital screen in all the cars in the range.
Afterwards, if you knew the number of guys from Apple present in all the departments of the factory, you would understand that the model is Apple, in terms of digital and consumable as a whole. Many would see no point in buying a Rolex vs an Apple watch, because it's a generation raised on video games and iPhones that defines what you have to like !

and similarly, one can’t just walk into a boutique and purchase a rolex or AP or Patek. Its become all about a game or relationship.

IDK…Pagani is Patek, such real works of art. Rolex and Ferrari seem paired well.

I don’t hate analogies like this, harmless back and forth. I think Porsche is Rolex. Make a ton, don’t change in styling much.

Ferrari to Patek also works. Although as a Brand Ferrari is much stronger and more commercialized.

pagani would be something like an FPJourne.

The problem with electric "performance" cars is still the weight and by proxy the handling.

I love my Model S Plaid but it feels horrendous at speeds around a bend. I won't even get into the non-track pack brakes.

Hybrid is a happy balance and the 296 is nearly perfect by that measure.

Now if Ferrari could get a 296 variant down to 3200 pounds curb weight that was still street legal....

Hmmm, if I want the VS model, do I need to buy the base model....that's the question. I doubt it'll be ultra limited, and in that case no.

Were people able to buy a Pista if they didn’t have a 488 or higher?

The SF90 is looked at like the flag ship under the Halo now so a 296 Vs should be easier

If the SF90 VS allocation is anything to go by, base 296 current ownership will be required in order to secure 296 VS allocation

They’ve had no problem selling them, and they’ll likely produce several thousand VS models.

for me ferrari should make a 296VS as porsche made the 992 GT3 RS.

everyone who don´t like to race - and so don´t likes stiffness and wings - should buy a 296 GTB/GTS or 992 GT3 Touring. no offense. but why the fastest model have to be also a good daily? all the new cars are fully daily useable... (except space)
the VS should focus ONLY on lap times and emotion. and therefore it needs a huge aero to get the last tenths. and best also no Hybrid and so also minus 150kg.

here in Austria this means around a listprice +25% if it would not get a hybrid; based on the higher CO2 tax. but hey ! we want a emotional fast and light race car with numberplates.
no workday tax safing zoomzoom electrical car. :p

if Ferrari would do what Porsche does with a GT4RS (interior symphony) or with a 992GT3RS (looks and chassis feel) - i would not care about the price or usage. i also wouldn´t care if digital dash or not. or which watch i would wear to it. i would drive the sh*t out of it - and this possibly fully naked, without watch. And no need to look at a digital dash. just listening to a petrol engine + shiftlight thunderstorm.

Ferrari should become a bit crazy again. Whats going on currently? Germans and British car manufacturers produces more funny and rad cars as the Italians. Hopefully F reach a draw level with the upcoming 296 VS.

Finally some right thought! It's been a long time Ferrari needs to produce some real track oriented road cars for dedicated enthusisasts and Nurburgring record guys.
If we have GT and SUV, why we can't have aerodynamic aggressive cars for trackdays?
Everyboy is praising Porsche for G2RS and GT3RS and Lambo for STO, Ferrari is producing nothing as aggressive as those, why should they be afraid of tyiing something in that direction?
There's plenty of cars without wing and Sducts, let them come out with some V6 GT3 inspired mid engine car and see how much they can push technical limits before all the automotive world switches to EV and boring samey specs

A little less than „thousands“ of SF90 SF as predicted by some here: Just 2x799. Sold out.
It’s probably the aggressive appearance that has been expected. Still heavy though.
I can’t believe the 296 VS will be of a different kind of „lightweight car“.
Nice looks, more aggressive looks, a few more hp, still hybrid. That will be it.
When is it expected to be launch btw?

    Pricewise I would somehow agree.
Ferrari to Patek from the technical point of view: I suspect there is some huge gap with regard to accuracy, quality.
Not in favor of Ferrari, I‘m afraid.:(
