    Berlinetta owners, a question.
Does anybody actually use the rear parcel straps to secure luggage.
    Or are they just decorative?

I would say decorative, don’t even think they actually “work” with fitted luggage set but could be wrong.

I have never used them but asked because of this pic on a French site selling fitted luggage, which looks rather nice.
My worry would be that once used they would be hard to return to their nice decorative state and position.

I suspect the 350 mm lip on the front of the shelf will stop any forward motion of luggage under normal breaking.

I used them in my 599 and they worked perfectly- never road tripped the others because I had the Lusso for that.

Good that you can get all the cases in with the parcel shelf in place

Used the straps to secure the two bags on the shelf. Worked like a champ. Takes a while to make them back like they were.

I use them all the time. I have some custom luggage made to our own design by this guy https://jordanbespoke.com/ . All bags are hand made in Italy and are beautiful. Good value too - can highly recommend.
