Decided to get the Forza exhaust controller but don't want to have a key fob flying around the cabin. Came across this item from Sticky RX: https://store.**********.com/products/custom-ferrari-2-position-exhaust-switch

Is anybody using this and is it possible to repurpose a standard rocker instead? I have a spare storage door switch I was going to use to do the garage door opener mod, but think an exhaust switch might be of more frequent use and would like to use my extra space for it instead. At $300 though, I'm wondering if there is an easier way to make this work.

Side note, we need a vendor to sell just the pictogram inlays for custom mods.

You can repurpose the correct type rocker switch .. you need the ones that latch .. not only have a intermittent latch
The Europe version of parking lights is a good example vs a bad example is hood release
Also be aware that the switches changed a few times and the oval part looks slightly different on early ones v later ones

This is good info. Do you know of other switches that might be latching versus momentary? I guess I could fit a latching relay as well, but that's kind of a pain.

I am using this exact switch with a Forza controller; works great in substitution of a blank. No core exchange needed. Lights up like OEM

You can just buy inlay/stickers from StickyNoMore and make your own using a two position ala the 575 dome light switch as mentioned. Not sure about lighting result.

This project is on my list and I’ve been eyeing the switch from StickyRX as well. Keep us posted on which way you go. Will probably tackle this myself in a few months time or maybe it waits until winter.

@285ferrari helped me out in getting one of these "EXHAUST" labels for the moment:

    Image Unavailable, Please Login

However, I'll be working with him to get a graphic made to keep with the theme of the other buttons but that will take a bit longer as the place that creates these is a bit backed up. I don't care for the Porsche style logo used in the first post example, so I hope to get a graphic of this one:

Not sure which car that came off of, but I feel like it fits our vehicles better. Need to brush up on my graphics skills to get a good vector made up. If anybody has any free time and wants to help out, feel free to chime in :D

Robbie can turn your blank switch into a two position switch if you want to stay OEM looking.

That’s good to know. I already bought a 575 done light switch off eBay though for $50.

I ended up getting a 575 dome light switch as well. Any idea if the connector these switches plug into exists for purchasing? Would love to make the install as clean and OEM as possible…

Not off the shelf, you'd have to buy a pigtail from an OEM harness and tie into that. Some wire loom and heat shrink go a long way to make some spade connectors look good though.

You could get this and cut off one of them: https://www.ebay.com/itm/153985916251?hash=item23da469d5b%3Ag%3A2TEAAOSwO5te99or&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8CN9fHpryAex42FHNFHS4ftLsSrbJ0xo95mTVDPPxPMlBaB24gGttlPN7T2FYck9j6M5JAoMoI15NrpadIBfgE5FWwctExw7eevuNjBOE1snxCtWjxEIHtM3yS9Gt5iDMyj3WdgEfBZ0coFni0me0Ze0YipY346u%2BBxlHEmoFLRjrgrFh2nv4RyqYlNJPlcJlU2GkYZnZnyJeYYprB%2BItQhGr%2BGl8iJMB9%2BF2z36BGq5n3Apz4aDrTUwPKjje4397aeSQT8ilz3TyACqz3OB%2BR8OxHbPwtFf3Jd3Sq4R3WojoH4RVLSYgtlYI%2FifK%2BVkLA%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9K6kembYg&LH_ItemCondition=4

I haven't looked around back there yet. I need to get an illumination and ground wire by either jumping it off one of the other switches or through an unused harness (like if there's a fog light end that's active). Not sure where the controller is typically mounted

That’s a good find. Might consider it. What is part number for your 565/550 dome light switch? 183232?

183233 but that's according to the listing person on eBay. Not sure if that's correct. This is the one I bought: https://www.ebay.com/itm/304520203500

If you end up buying that harness, I'll buy one of the ends off of it from you for $25 :D

Whelp - I ordered the other switch with the part number I listed. Will see what happens when it shows up.

I ordered the harness. Couldn’t help myself

For those who don't want to destroy rare wiring harnesses.... These type window switch plugs will do the same job.

I've used these type plugs to create a Roof ECU bypass kit for a F355.
