A local trim shop was trying to remove A pillar and cracked my windshield.

The estimate from Ferrari of Washington was mind blowing. This does not include $950 round trip tow bill 66 miles each way.

Yes insurance and trim shop covering.

They are a trim shop, so they were trying to remove the trim on the A pillar? How does removing trim lead to a cracked windscreen?

The pillar was very tight against the windshield so he used an appropriate soft plastic pry tool to loosen it from the clips, crack went the windshield.

This is the highest rated trim shop in Baltimore. Just bad luck , after this happened I spoke with very experienced people in this field, no way to predict this. Stuff happens I watched him very little pressure on pry tool .

    I see 5,260.47 parts plus $1,000 installation . . . $6,260.47. I'm guessing tax takes it to 6,682.10.

Of course there are non OEM, for about 1/2 the cost. Your choice but since insurance is going to cover why use.

if not insurance I would go non OEM
