Thanks for posting.. many magazines have AF Coupe at 2.0-2.2, and 6.2-6.4s.. Carbon door panels for the Aperta, they have got over the previous homologation issues? Aperta really has Wing as Standard or is a NCO? Yes as stated awhile back this was a Phoenix XX project with number plates on it..
Image Unavailable, Please Login It seems to me like a very good rendering (especially the back seems very close to spy shots). The only thing that's missing is the louvers at the front wheel arches.
WOW, 6.2s for 200 km/h is madness! Don't know about homologation issues but they said carbon body. Yes, Aperta have the wing as Standard (From what i was told).
I think that was done by @isot a while ago. Anyway, I heard 1050 CV (roughly 1035 bhp) and that sounds reasonable.
I mean, just wow, +30hp! they really worked hard, this kind of result must have been so difficult and stressfull to reach
It's not that easy to produce an extra 100 HP reliably and without compromising tractability, whilst abiding emissions and sound regulations.
Now, this sporty SF90 variant should finally put in shame some McLarennas Sennas and alikes. Can't wait for Nordschleife ring time. (Probably in 3 years if ever ;P ) BTW I wonder if the interior (steering wheel and driver interface/console) is left the same as in standard SF90? They say the car is track focused, so it would be nice if you could feel it in the driver's interface too.
Well it is not harder to make 1000PS reliable in the standard car, is it? The V8 Biturbo can surley use a bit more bost with minor internal changes and beeing reliable, the emotors need just a more powerfull/denser battery to extract there full potential (that ist the restrection of the sf90, the batterie capacity, the emotors could produce more power with a better batterie.) ok denser battery could be more weight, yes, but we are 4 years later than the introduction of the sf90, so develepment of the batteries are also advanced. I think they keept it simple with the power and not to much effort in it. Of course i would take my words back, if the batterie finaly is 50% lighter with the same capacity as the SF90.. Letts wait for all the details..
Batteries haven't advanced that much; one can see that even in pure EV cars. The V8 was close to its limit anyway.
Its actual 44hp. The 812 Competizione and Competizione A only have like 30hp more than the standard 812s. They both are updated models not a new ones. They both also had a ton of other work done. The SF90 LM: Has a coupe and Spider version Redesign Body panels, has more: HP, Downforce and Carbon fibre. Less Weight, New Braking system etc etc Basically now its a road legal track car. A Shat ton has been down here.
Its always about the details and how they capture your imagination. Lets see what they reveal. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
It’s funny, I was going to ask TM to do that for my spec. Tempted to ask for a CF roof on the regular spider AF…
If I recall correctly carbon fibre reduces the weight by about 50% to that of aluminum. The Standard SF90 Coupe Weights about 1780Kg kerb with Half/full tank can't remember which. I would say the standard LM will reduce weight by around 80kgs so around 1698kg Then with full Carbon inserts etc and full carbon body addons. I would guess it could be around another reduction of say 100kgs just a guess on the body weight
The cf body is an absolute must have, I’d be surprised if more than a handful aren’t spec’d with it - the resale on this car will be astronomical and collectors will want the cf editions
I am not sure about resale. It will hold the msrp but not higher is my guess. If one spec full carbon body with exposed carbon finish, can you guess the price? 1.5mil? With that money would anyone do? If they don’t allow exposed carbon finish then what would be a point of full carbon body… So much to ask Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Point is weight reduction its a road legal track car. Weight matters. Only selected people can purchase this version so if your going to buy it then you go all in. Why have aluminum if you can't see it? or why have aluminum if you can have Carbon instead? Cost at this level really isn't as important as you might think. Enzo was asked at the F40 launch where the spare tire goes? He smiles and replies if you can afford an F40 you can afford your Pilot to fly one out to you.
Well, I will go for full carbon if they allow exposed carbon finish. Otherwise, I am skeptical if price is too high and if I go for black as I usually do for most of my cars… Also, Ferrari’s carbon finish is rough when compared to those of Bugatti or Pagani. So full exposed carbon finish is tough choices if they go for the usual Ferrari carbon pattern Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Apparently CF option is approved only by factory and three only so far. Adds more than 300k euro or so to price by one report. Very limited even among TOP
