Chris Harris loves the Emira, "who needs more than 400hp?" indeed. Sorry Steve, I quite like the white with black wheels combination.
Chris Harris is quite correct in his assessment. I’ve only done about 80km so far but I’m blown away. It’s a cracking car. And I have to admit part of the enjoyment is rowing through the gears the old fashioned way. It doesn’t make the difference between whether a car is good or not, but it is fun. And that’s ok, Ian. We all like different things. I mean, some weirdos don’t even like red carpet! *shakes head*
Worth every penny of the asking price. Tim Doyle is a mate of mine and is a brilliant craftsman and font of 105 Alfa knowledge. Any restoration he was involved in will be world class.
Looks like a bit of fun: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/256119010401?hash=item3ba1e1f461:g:eEkAAOSw0gJklWIu
Well not on the Friday nights, I had to drive home at 1 or 2 in the morning. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Nice looking old cruiser, much like the Volvo 1800 and Karmann Ghia but a bit rarer,I thought cheap compared to the other two. https://auctions.shannons.com.au/auction/lot/lot-1959-borgward-isabella-coupe/?lot=903&so=0&st=&sto=0&au=14&ef=&et=&ic=False&sd=0&pp=48&pn=1&g=1
I reckon it's a cheap, stylish cruiser and if you got it for even the top estimate you're doing well. There's a TS (twin carbs?) on C/sales for $57k.
I think things are starting to slow down finally Simon..A lot of builder mates have no forward bookings now..Same as a mechanic mate of mine..Recons he’s never seen it like this…Will be interesting to see how strong the auction is! Might be a few bargains around..
