I don't think anyone will know the exact numbers but I've heard from multiple sources that there will be less made than the 812 competizione.
There has been no public build up like many of the previous models. They had between weeks and sometimes months of build up.
I really don't know, its really strange though. I mean this is a very special car which is a part of Ferraris future plans (V8 hybrid). Ferrari said they have created as road legal track car. Those Ferrari choose to see it first were there last week or are currently seeing it now. Uncharted ground from here for the other Ferrari Clients and the general public
Looks they ar enot interested to generate any build up on it for normal client or public Which is understandable considering very few guys are receiving allocations, still, this and the 167 will be the most interesting reveals this year, and performance wise this will be the most interesting till next Hypercar in 2024 and V6 STO rival, so can't wait till wednesday again. Honestly, it would have been much better revealing it at Le Mans 24 hours weekend
I have not heard of anything happening on the 28th. They did build up for the Comp and Comp A (They were already sold out basically) They want those that missed out to buy more cars so they can have a chance to get the next one win win. You also want to hit the public and bring in new and future blood. Strange strange strange....
Indeed, normally, somebody at least confirms when public reveal is due and I remember forum being much more actvie on F12TDF, 488 Pista and 812 C topics. Moreover, car pics and partial specificaiton have already being leaked, so it's weird to hav a desert thread right now
Official announcement is 28th. Car is pretty awesome with a lot of good improvements around aero. Seats and doors also improved. Steering wheel is a little more tactile like the purosangue.
It should be something similar to this. I have the SF90 Spider + 812C but I wasn't special enough (darn that sounds sad!) to be able to get this car! Less units thne 812C has been confirmed by multiple sources. Everyone should supposedly be informed by now.
I would guess 1 of those 3 would be Chuck Fegali, did that to his 16M, great friends with Marco Zanassi.. he shipped it to Beverley Hills dealership..
Couple more things — there new arctic white color is more gray in appearance than Bianco Italia. All three of the demo cars looked wonderful the frunk is gone. There is now exactly no storage space except the little shelf behind the chairs the battery range is the same at 16miles the car name also comes out on the 28th. I think it may be something th related to the aerodynamics of the car. I do not think it is going to be called the sf90 lemans! The rear view mirror in the couple is a camera. There is no back windscreen whatsoever. while I didn’t get to see the view, I was told it was better than the challenge cars have There is still a piece that moves down below the rear wing like the normal sf90 but that’s it. There are no flaps or anything underneath that move around. the coefficient of drag is somewhat higher than the standard sf90 so the power increase is really only there to improve downforce without decreasing straight lin performance New extra boost mode is available in qualifying mode. This saves 0.25s per lap at fiorano. The extra boost is a short term power bump that is limited by heat Significant heat reduction in the car is where the extra power really is coming from. Braking in turns is now more possible due to additional improvements Ecu programming completely redone again to mostly improve heat management. Lighter doors and chairs are main weight saving areas.
Thanks for info, I assumed downforce drag increased so much to limit the acceleration time,ì mor,e but it seems with 30 more PS, they could still manage to release iproved 0-100 and 0-200, though the original acceleration times were underestimated, so that now they could easily declare dimproved ones. Very curious to find out downforce level and Fiorano laptime (it is marketing related, but still interesting to discover). up to now, the downforce level have always being at the low side, considering no wings etc...
