About name, I wonder if can be Codalunga, Longtail, cause i don't see many other onames related to aero... Assetto carico, alto carico, sounds too weird
how much downforce did the 360-gt2 have? that lapped fiorano faster than the fxx-evo despite having hundreds of less hp
What cars were presented on the stage? The white one looks like a Pista Spider … Gesendet von iPhone mit FerrariChat
the main entry floor has a few special models including an f12tdf and fxxk. 3 sf90vs’s were shown - one spider and two coupes. Outside but near lunch were another 7-8 special model cars including one with sf90 wec livery and autographs.
Wait for the official release. There are thing that are not known and there are things that can't be shared yet.
the car isn’t really just the sum of all parts I am sure in spite of modest gains the performance will be off the charts.
Have the max revs increased past 9000? Like car making 1050 past 9k? Im thinking aero and the v8 will be the talk of town esp if that sucker revs past 9k
I could be wrong and misinterpreting the pic as i said…only way to validate it os by folks that attended or wait until Wednesday. Cant wait.
No doubt there are plenty of exciting details to emerge…and the car will likely be a big success. I’m looking forward to getting mine. That said, the hp and kg numbers have been confirmed by those who are in Maranello. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend. I think a lot of folks will be underwhelmed with this information though…
I know that 1035 HP is correct and from multiple sources. However those same sources would not / could not share weight. So far I know of only two claiming 10kg which if true is madness. It also is very different to a claim of 50 - 80 made end of last year from someone that is normally pretty shot on. Also of interest is an option for a few very special VIPs to have a full carbon body. Carbon is approx 50% lighter so those final weight number will be really interesting. I have no issue on the hp totally understand that. But if 10kgs reduction in weight is it then that's my point of issues. Anyway enjoy
I completely agree with your post. Of course, everything is speculative until released by Ferrari. However, I’ve communicated with two people who were in Maranello today…claiming the 10 kg number is correct. Obviously, we’ll know soon enough, unless someone else with knowledge wishes to chime in. If true, it appears the goal here was really about braking and aero/downforce wizardry over power/weight. Perhaps with this car, they chose not to push the envelope too far with the F250 looming?!
I don’t understand why people are waiting for miracles about weight ? This car is a hybrid’s one with three electric motors, and a huge battery pack. Big size, huge wheels etc .. The only way to reduce weight is to reduce significantly the size of the car like Gordon Murray did with the T50. And being without hybridization. Of course electronics systems will do their job to compensate but in the end the car will remains a pretty heavy’s one..
Because, it’s billed as a hardcore track variant with a giant wing creating drag and downforce. So, plenty of folks will scratch their heads about how much of a performance delta there can really be with a 10 kg reduction in weight…in a heavy platform. Personally, I don’t care as mine won’t be tracked. It’s more about the degree to which modifications were made to enhance performance and make it a VS. In fact, not that it needs it for my purposes, but give me more HP and ditch the wing. Again, I wonder whether the performance enhancements of this car had to leave room for the La Ferrari successor?
I guess the Laferrari replacement with its V6TT will be a lot more compact as a car. With a close to perfect weight distribution. 1200 Hps/1500 kgs ..
Realistically, based on the fact that, the XX version of this car was no faster than FXXK, and that it's only improved in aero, while power weight almost same, it will probably be already optimistic if Fiorano lap is 1.17.5. Do not expect less, we are talking about street tires on road legal car, maybe LaF replacement can lap in 1.16
Full carbon body, Carbon Wheels, updated lighter Battery cells etc etc heaps can be done to drop 80kgs or more. Cost can be a factor of course in that. The SF90 will have 2018 hybrid tech so the SF90 Vs should have 2022 tech for those system aka more power less weight. 4 years with most of the car market developing hybrid tech should have reduce cost and driven a big jump in the tech with more Power, less weight and improved range etc
