While driving the California last week, I noticed that one of the small towns was having its summer VFD fund raising dinner. BBQ. Had a few veal shanks in the freezer, so I figured it was time to defrost and make something out of them. Tomato sauce. Italian herbs. Onion flakes. Red wine. Extra minced garlic.
