    Too much aero if there is such a thing can also be a problem when driving on the road. Dynamics changes suddenly with speed.

    But I get the same downforce as the coupe,yes that is right per Ferrari, and it will be worth 50% more on resale and I can put the top down crushing to and from the track.

    Ground effect or a fan, but those solutions also have disadvantages of their own.


    Even the current SF90 Stradale posted a slightly better lap-time on Autocar's test, which show that downforce is not everything. I expect the VS to be quite a bit quicker though.

    Depending on the track, power and agility may be more improtant than aero, but on such short track and small difference in laptime, it is likley up to driver skill and imperfection. usually, less aero dependent car is easier to extract time for not professional driver.

    And about half the weight… And there in lies the fundamental issue with this car. It’s just way too heavy for the aero to make enough of a difference and to be a contender on a track - and yet it’s positioned as the track orientated version. Bizarre.

    I’m not sure what the purpose of this car really is.

    But hats off to Ferrari - amazing marketing. Absolutely world class revenue generation.

    XX better than LM… was one of the my guesses along with GTO or LM, however not happy, things have changed from when I knew about this car.. will revert in more detail when I’ve chewed through the technicals… but they have added another 200 cars to the Total!!

    @day355 was right. It is the cancelled XX version that turned into a VS. Even the name suggests that.

    Now that the pictures and video are out, you are right. Looks exciting and great. Better than any of the leaked photos. Very impressive.

    I am absolutely loving it! What a beast! If I can't get a Spider I will take the coupe and will keep my current Spider because I can not see myself live without one.

    Given how mighty the "normal" Stradale is on track, expect blistering lap-times from the XX Stradale.
