0324AM was originally entered by Bill Spear for himself and Hill (race number #16) but Spear could not start due to an highway accident involving his Bentley on the way from Maranello to Reims. Car was then raced by Chinetti and Hill with race number #5.

Carini / Maglioli (race number #18) is not listed on the official race program and seems to be a late entry by Scuderia Ferrari.
Ferrari also wanted to enter a 340 MM Berlinetta PF for Villoresi and Hawthorn (race number #17) but they DNA (reason unknown).

See race program (from the https://www.racingsportscars.com site):

On the 5th of July 1953 was also the Bobbio - Passo del Penice hillclimb (which was incidentally the last win for Enzo Ferrari as a driver in 1931).

[Speculation] My notes list that Giorgio Pimpinelli was entered in this event. Correct? And which car? Pimpinelli bought 0026 M in 1952 and later (1953???) 0182 ED. [/Speculation]

Additional info found on the official website of the event in Rievocazione Storica form:

Winner of the 5° Bobbio - Passo del Penice hillclimb in 1953 was Giacomo Parietti driving a Fiat 500/S and the date was 17.05.1953 instead of 05.07.1953).

    4 June 1953 was a Thursday..........
There's definitely some confusion with dates here and the various races at Offutt AFB.

Romano, it stands for tender loving care (seriously). Just another weird American expression. :)

For 4 June 1953 I have two races on Offutt AFB in my database, a 75 mile and a 200 mile race with Jack McAfee racing 0032 MT in both.
Results listed as 2nd in the 75 mile and DNF in the 200 mile race.

As you correctly said, 4 June is not a weekend day. And we have the same Jack McAfee racing the same 0032 MT on 5 July in both a 75 mile and a 200 mile race.
Coincidence? No, in retrospect I believe that there were no races at 4 June and that my database entries for that date are incorrect and should be filed for the 5 July 1953 races.

In 1953 Offutt Air Force Base was an operational AFB.

The races on July 5th are well documented. It is not likely that a commander would give permission for other car races only a few weeks earlier (June 4th or June 21st).
