The thing that I derive the most pleasure from these days is Russell beating Lulu. Hasn't done it as well this season, but he has still helped to demonstrate what we all know.

Max is SO at his peak right now, as is his team. A real predator at heart. He would be a threat for WDC in any Top 4 car, which includes Aston Martin.

I think it's ridiculous to put Damon Hill on the same level as Schumacher, Senna, Alonso, Hamilton, etc, just because he won a championship. If that is your mentality, then why do you continue to debate with people about how good Hamilton is? By your rationale, Hamilton is equal to Verstappen, Raikkonen, Vettel, Rosberg, Button, Schumacher, Alonso, and of course D. HIll and JV too. At the same time, all of these drivers are better than Russell, Norris, Leclerc, etc because they haven't won the championship. You don't see flaws in this? A driver can be measured against other drivers, and it is a fact that Damon Hill was no where near the greats and there are lot of drivers that were not champions that are better. But like I said, if you want to believe it, go ahead.

Can't you not understand that I do not compare different WDCs, and I don't rank them either ?

Is that so difficult to understand? I let others play that pointless game.

Each season is a different story. Period !!

Just to be clear ... Lewis Hamilton is no greater, no better, no more skilled or talented than Jenson Button in your view. Both are (or, have been) WDCs.
    Correct?

Correct. Jenson was the best of the lot for only one year, Hamilton 7 years; but the conditions changed.
Greater, better, skilled or talented are subjective notions anyway. Only the result matters.
Each year is different; that's why each championship lasts only ONE season.
Since circumstances change from year to year, it's pointless to compare the WDCs, or to attempt ranking them.

    Thanks for the honest response!

Lewis Hamilton ... no better or greater than Jenson Button, Nico Rosberg, Denny Hulme, Alan Jones, etc.

    Got it :)

Each year is different. The WDC is better the year he takes the title than the other drivers he competed against.
But the next year is a different story, maybe a different formula, or different circuits, etc ...

You are delusional. Max barely beat McLaren today.
He would lose like everyone does when you don't have a fast car. This is Motorsport. 90% car/team, 5% driver, 5% luck.

Also, Perez is done mentally. That fast car is a waste in his hands.

Not sure many could extract the maximum from that Red Bull like Max Verstappen does.

Red Bull may be unrealistic expecting any #2 to follow Max 5 meters behind all the time.

F1 is a very tough sport mentally. Max is made of iron. Even when he was a brash rookie who crashed too often (because he tried too hard), he was still cocky. Like fighters, race car drivers are best when they are cocky and focused on #1.

From the start, raw speed was never in doubt with Max, but he has polished his act since.

How is he in good form when he has no direct competition because all other cars are slow?
Also he understeered in the pitlane and damaged the front wing. Rookie move...

Give that car to Norris and you will see. Only 0.2s behind with a McLaren...

That was today. It could have been a flash in the pan, for all we know.
We have to see if Norris could maintain that over a season.

The Red Bull isn't a great qualifying car. 2 tenths is a pretty big gap for Max this year. It's actually pretty impressive when he is fighting for pole with a tenth or two in hand over the field, he tends to get pole. Meanwhile his teammate can't even get out of Q1 in the same car. Come tomorrow, lets see if the McLaren or anyone else can stay close. I am guessing he wins by 20 seconds or more if there isn't some weird anomaly.

Ok, I'll bite...How do YOU know that? Do you know Max personally? Have you had dealings, business or personal, with Max?
Or are just assuming he's cocky because of his success (that's my guess)
