I definitely appreciate the 812. Plan to keep forever! I guess improvements are in the eyes of the beholder. The 812 is a brilliant car, better (for me) than the 599 or F12.

I’m not excited about haptic wheel or digital dash, but am anticipating a drop dead gorgeous V12. Perhaps other improvements in suspension.

I just don’t see appreciating one or the other as mutually exclusive, rather that each can be appreciated for itself. :)

Ahaha, thank you, but for the moment it's still early... I've seen the final car 2 times: 28 april 2023 and 28 june 2023.. The second time I was beside Martijn, the author of the pictures above. I have some new info but I have to see the car less disguised

It is real easy to forget the 812 instantly.
I am glad I got rid of mine.

Not too much love love for the 812 which seems a travesty. I think it is a brilliant car and far ahead of the F12, TDF excepted. On the other hand, I’m biased. We have three. Not sure the world needs a new one. But then, nobody needed the old one! I guess a new, pretty, Ferrari V12 is going to sell, even if it only has 800 hp.

Pretty shocked with this sentiment. I think the 812 is one of the best cars they have made in 30 years. A lot of respected journalists like Chris Harris thinks so as well. Every reviewer has given it a 9/10 or 10/10.
I honestly can’t swallow the new horrible interiors and a joke of a dashboard and electronics.

The 812 is brilliant technically with an unbelievable drive train. It’s styling is it’s Achilles heal most of its critics would say.

It was almost impossible put the hands on the F12berlinetta and make something better.. For me the F12 is a modern masterpiece. With the 812 they've made some mistakes.. especially the rear is a mess

Yes 812 drives nice with all its aids but after the F12 in the looks dept it’s awkward,F167 will put that right..

You are spot on, the problem with the 812 for me is the rear it just doesn't work.

What did you dislike about the 812, Mr. Massini? I love our 2019 example but will admit that the electric steering isn’t its strongest feature.

I seen this sort of thing in business before. A lot say they want this option you give them just what they asked for even keep the price the same and very few actual take the option

I’m a fan of the 599 but much prefer the 812SF design. Some criticize its exterior complexity but every slat and vent is functional if you believe the factory. I love its stance and proportions. I still prefer the tdf but would love to have both, unlike Mr. Massini.

Agree the SF rear is super busy but I think they nailed it with the GTS. They are both great but I think the GTS is a much more clean and cohesive design. I love it as much as I loved my f12. Which, ironically, the rear of was not my favorite

Well since we are giving opinions, I loved everything about the F12 except the rear. TDF is fantastic. Always thought the 598 looked bloated and it never interested me. Love everything about the 812. GTS, I did not love so passed.

I know some people don’t love the 812. That’s fine with me. I like what I like. I do expect the replacement to be beautiful but will not forget the 812. Like I said before, room for both.

People lament digital dashboards, and I understand because I have a 2023 911 TTS. Hate all the menus etc. on the other hand, I can program multiple openers and label each one. No multiple door remotes needed. Well darn, that is a nice thing I didn’t expect. So yeah, I hate digital dashes and prefer analog-ish instruments but there is something to be said for technology done well.

If I want a truly analog experience, out comes the Ford GT. Or I’ll just purchase a 355, 575 or 550. Or better yet, a 250!

I’ve said too many words now. Carry on!! [emoji4]

I understand why some prefer one over the other.....

Loved my F12, love my 812 more......similar to what all y'all say about the TDF vs F12. Exactly the same sentiment, but in my eyes it's the SF......but I'd take an F12 over the GTS (like John, I passed)....oh well....after all, I'm sure your wife is beautiful too.

    Back OT

Again, more than enough hp. Whatever, bump it up. Machs nicht.

The suspension was dramatically improved from the F12, I don't care if they go active. I just prefer a true soft(er) setting instead of the unwired "bumpy road/close elevator doors" button that doesn't do ****. I live in the country, way out in the BFE where it's a 45 min drive anywhere, commuted a minimum of 120 mi/day for 30 years so I prefer a GT over a sports car at distance.

I'm scared with the latest styling cues though. I did not like or play with those goofy looking Hot Wheels cars 50 years ago so I really don't like the goofy wasp look of the SP3 or disproportionate rear & aero fairings of the PS. I'd just put those Hot Wheels back in their boxes and give them away, thank you.

I'm just hoping the "short rear" we've heard about but not yet seen is GTB/4 or GTC/4ish.

Either way my SF or successor will probably be the swan song for me though.
