I have no problem holding any driver to the same "standards" or level of critique. It is a moving scale because precedent and context matters. As I said, Charles being angry about Ferrari's strategy or mistake in public is 100% understandable. A driver saying his team should have listened to him how they design the car. That's just ridiculous and throwing the team under the bus. A driver that swears and gets frustrated about other drivers or situations, that's just being human. A driver that throws F bombs about every little thing while struggling to drive decently himself (Tsunoda), not going to get the same level of understanding from me. As for the Horner comment, I assume you know why it was brought up. Toto has apologized to Lewis many times in the last 2 years for not giving Lewis a dominating car? The Mercedes isn't even a bad car. That is so cringy and pathetic for the Boss to have to apologize to 1 of his drivers (never to George) because he didn't get a car that can win by 30 seconds. Every team should feel that they are giving it their 100% best, so they shouldn't have to apologize to their drivers unless they make a costly mistake.
Thanks ... great post Sadly, the nuances you describe will be lost on many here. There's just a blind, desperate need to equate any use of foul language with blaming, berating, and throwing a team under the bus. The "hidden agenda" behind the conflation isn't even all that "hidden" ...
Still, he lost to Perez in 2 races this year. Why oh why? So RedBull decided to fix that situation first by spoiling tyre strategy for Perez and since last 2 races now, making him look like he cannot drive at all
Perez won when Max had issues. Same as all his other Red Bull wins. You actually think Red Bull are sabotaging Perez? What logical reason would they do that? Max gets pole on his own and can win from pole, or 2nd, or outside the top 10. You think they need Perez to start 15th to give Max a chance? You think Max needs Perez to fail to win the championship? You think Red Bull wants Perez to finish poorly in the championship? You think Red Bull doesn't want 1-2's in quali, the race, and the championship?
Max also wins in RedBull because other teams have issues all this season. No real competition here. Even mid-pack drivers have to show more driving skills battling for single points, than Max Verstappen in his RedBull
Yeah I'm sure Red Bull was ready to sabotage Perez when: 1) he ****ed it into the wall on his first lap in Monaco 2) he kept driving about slowly in Spain before ****ing it into the gravel 3) send Perez out on exactly the same strategy in exactly the same conditions in Canada but Max put together a lap and Perez drove around like miss daisy 4) I'm sure they sabotaged the last corner of the Red Bull Ring too each time Perez came around. What happened? Did they send a little leprechaun around with a bucket of paint adjusting the line for both? 5) I'm sure they made him drive slower than both Williams in Q1 as well in Silverstone. Of course who can forget about Australia when he drove straight on into Q3, forcing him to start last. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Man I must be watching the wrong races. I'd love to be watching all the races where Ferrari, Aston, and Mercedes were leading and somehow biffed it which allowed Max to win.
guys ... just more random word salad, from someone trying to instigate and provoke a response (as i've recently learned). Meaningless. Please pay no attention.
HERE IT IS !!!! PROOF POSITIVE !!! Even as a young kid, Max was BLAMING and BERATING his team!! Throwing his team under the bus ... even BEFORE he was on a team !!!! SEEE !!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Which is weird is that Perez is right now with the same state of mind compared with Gasly in 2019. Totally humiliated on track by Max with a competitive car. Just remember Pierre was sometimes lapped by Max during races.. I am not sure some realized how good this guy really is ..
The mental aspect of F1 shouldn't be underestimated. Gasly went to RBR with high hopes but very early on realized the mountain he had t climb to come even close to Max, let alone beat him. Being lapped several times on pure pace quickly did it's number...the most painful one surely being Red Bull Ring when Max had a really poor start, dropped down behind Gasly...then went on to win, lapping Gasly who finished in P6 or whatever it was. That humiliation on an industrial scale. Albon was never mentally destroyed, but he couldn't drive the car and was replaced out of necessity as RB wasn't sure what type of car they'd have for 2021. Marko has even expressed regret at letting Albon go now. Crucially both Albon and Red Bull have kept a good relationship. If he was that bad they wouldn't have gone out of their way to keep him on the books for 2021 and helped him get a drive for 2022 even. Perez knew for 21 and 22 he was the number 2. Max V Hamilton then Max V Leclerc. 23 when everyone else tried to stick with their own **** concepts, he thought he had a chance. A couple of not at fault issues for Max meant he thought he was in play, then Max laced his shoes up and the rest is history. Perez's recovery race at the RBR was good but I found his Silverstone race very lacking.
IF it was just Max alone as a single car entry for RedBull after 10 races, Max would be leading the CONSTRUCTORS by 52 points. Checo who? Image Unavailable, Please Login Red Bull could win the Constructors championship in Japan at the earliest with how the standings look right now if 2nd place Mercedes are able to challenge them for the rest of the season. also Max needs 193 points to secure his 3rd World Championship if Perez decides to give him a proper fight to the end. The earliest it could happen is at the Qatar Grand Prix with how the standings look right now. Image Unavailable, Please Login
