Surely by now with all the changes that have been made, each and every customer should have been contacted and fully up to date with a realistic time frame for completion.

Given you are a new member then post up which car is yours so that they can clarify the situation here and now, so everything is transparent, as of course anyone can make a new profile on fchat and make such claims, given others are also providing this service and any one of them could seek to denigrate their competition.

These guys got the EAG team to fly out and do their 599 in 24 hours. Pretty impressive !

As soon as I get the situation resolved I'll post the info on my car but until then I'd like to keep it private. I was actually contacted about three weeks ago, but only once to give me an update on when my car might be done. Tried reaching out this past week with no response. I will post as new information becomes available but at this point I'm not too hopeful. It is really disappointing to see that a YouTube personality gets their car done in 24 hours (the video posted above) and I've been waiting over a year and a half as I'm sure others have as well.

In this video DDE's Dave Coulter mentions that he did have to pay EAG's expenses for Art Bartosik and his crew to travel to Cali to convert Dave's 599. I expect Art was motivated not just by the clicks on the conversion video that we would expect DDE's 3.67 million subscribers to bring to the conversion video, but also by the additional coverage the car will get during DDE's week-long presence at this August's Monterey Car Week.

A video that DDE uploaded today (Sunday July 9) you can see the most extensive footage yet of an EAG 599. It sure looks like fun and makes me all the more eager to get started on the conversion of my 2005 612. (I'm doing a shifter rod conversion, using as many OEM Ferrari parts as I could find, albeit with the most important -- and NLA -- bits fabricated by Ferrarichat member @brogenville. Like Dave's 599 I will also be running 6-1 headers with muffler bypass valves.)

That certainly seems to be the crux of the issue. They give these youtuber's immediate service, make other people wait years, yet say they have all the parts in stock. Something isn't adding up.

Brogenville does phenomenal work. You won't be disappointed! [emoji57]

The shifter assembly feels like buttah. Sometimes I go out in the garage and run it through the "gears" just for fun. Engine noise sound effects optional. The only part still missing is the actuator plate. It arrived from the machine shop this past week but unfortunately the day before a family holiday. So assembly and shipment to me have to wait a little bit longer.

I bet all the customers they've got with all their incomplete cars will be over the moon that a YouTuber jumped the queue and had it completed in a day.

Whoever manages the PR at EAG needs some help...

Most businesses like this with high development costs are going to run into cash flow issues. Every decision they’ve made points in that direction. Taking in cars and deposits etc.. before a project is proven.

Youtube views is free marketing for them. Now they can hope to sell 599 kits worldwide without having to spend time (time they don’t have) to install them. This should improve their cash flow situation.

It’s about survival. Either they survive so they can continue to finish customers’ cars or they die and no one’s car gets done.

Similar. CNC had zero intention of paying some clients back. Too big of a bind.

CNC was doing great until they bought that new building. A building I honestly don’t think they needed to continue doing what they do. They wanted to get fancy and bit more than they could chew. That building is fancier than most Ferrari dealers.

If it costs several hundred grand to a mil (I dont know) to develop a conversion kit, that money has got to come from somewhere. Either investors or customers. This is a niche market. Capital is coming from customers.

Then give them their car and their money back? They are being held hostage until an unknown amount of youtubers show up with emergency issues? What a joke and you are defending it.

I didn’t defend it. I merely gave a plausible reasoning for why a Youtuber would jump the que. It either makes sense to you or it doesn’t.

Imo, any customer who has waited well beyond the promised delivered period should be able to get his car and deposit back upon request. Unless… the car is currently being taken apart, which would imply a few weeks till completion.

Has anyone who has requested their car and deposit returned been denied? All I see is 599 owners having a change of heart now that they know EAG has a fully operating conversion (or close). Why aren’t they pressing for their cars and deposits returned now?

That's too bad. You really seemed to be trying to turn things around and establish some level of positive relations with everyone, and seemed to be making some headway on that. Best of luck on your future endeavors.

I imagine this will not bode well for EAG going forward.

Sorry to hear that. You seemed like you had genuine interest to help them.
Are you comfortable to share what happened?
Was this mutual or your decision?

In any event, you appear to have your heart in the right place, while EAG's remains questionable, Best of luck in your new endeavors.

Huge ball drop from EAG letting go of the first person who went on the offensive to take on heat and try turn things around in public.

Let's see how things progress from here...

    Pics, por favor.

A gated CS is about as choice, to me, as it gets.

Could legitimately be the best road going driver’s car of all time.

Any rough guess of how many CS’s have been converted at this point?
