The KC23 has definitely the new design direction of the Ferrari Centro Stile, which was introduced with the Vision Gran Turismo concept in late 2022. Look at the front of the KC23 which i´ve modified a bit in the direction of a modern look of a 365 GTB/4 Daytona... @day355: Would you say the F167 has design elements of the new language? Fwiw , I love the 812 variants ( stupidly owned all 3 (SF/GTS/Comp) , the 599 ( stupidly had 3 - GTO, GTB,Alonso 60F1) and much prefer my TDF to the 599 and 812 variants …. The looks , the vibe , the tactile visceral grunt , the sound , the grin generating drives and the sheer presence both visually and aurally in the cabin means the TDF ethos for me would be the ideal basis for the F167. However , the legislation and the new design language across the Manzoni range means that il desire the smoother more elegant lines of the F167, but Il lust after the TDF, as the illicit naughty date night rendezvous ….. oooops got carried away there ! The F167 may be the newest and most advanced , but not the next best thing . I’m not in a hurry to dive into the new GT- at the moment . I’m however totally self aware that il be mesmerized into a frenzy when it’s announced - that’s just the Ferrarista ‘sheep’ in me - as The Borg say “ Resistance is futile “….
Well if you look at my location. You will see I am a bushman of the Kalahari….long live 70s porn! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Overheard rumour at Goodwood yesterday that possible November announcement for F167. Low numbers, large cost as expected. Will be similar to Purosangue in terms of availability will be selective. I'm nowhere near a "top" customer but hoping to get a mid to late allocation... In the meantime, picking myself up an F12 to make sure I'm in the running. Back to the old discussion... 812 isn't for me, aesthetically I just don't like it. F12 all the way (and hopefully F167!)
Do you think the price jump will be much more significant from the 812 to the 167 compared to that of the f12 to the 812?
I predict base price for F167 will jump to $479,000 usd. Because that’s how much they can easily get away with, without alienating too many potential buyers of a regular series production 812 replacement.
i suspect it will be in the 500's--reason being Revuelto is $585k (allegedly) and they have 2 years of orders already booked, Ferrari won't leave money on the table.
Lamborghini V12 production has rarely been more than 50% that of Ferrari, so, it is not an apples-to-apples comparison at all. Plus, even the Aventador had a much higher base than any standard Ferrari V12, completely different customers, probably zero or near zero "cross shopping" between those products. And this whole "2 year sold out" on the Revuelto, that might be a 1000 units total or per year for we have no idea what actual production volume will be, based on the Aventador, quite likely to be fewer than 1000 units per year, may, at most 1200. Not hard to sell 2000 of the next gen Aventador...as long as they do not mess it up (VW history with EVs is less than solid) Ferrari never leaves money on the table, every one of its cars is destined for $$$ service work in its future...For instance, the F167 will probably have one of those $4K 12v batteries (like the Pista uses) rather than a conventional one in the 812.
Y'all have some interesting perspectives. If they make the 167 a full production car, I agree with @JTSE30 but if it's limited production I see @SirTony76 being correct.
My feeling in the UK is that anyone that wants one will need to spec it up to a number starting with a 4. Assuming you're lucky enough to get a chance at an allocation... But I'm guessing (on the basis of nothing really) that base car in the UK will be mid to upper 300s.
It will definitely follow the same series replacement model. Will have the trick shocks from the SUV, aero items, the latest brakes and steering with new programming, next gen trans/dif with some form of torque vectoring (vectoring-light), lighter engine components, DLC coated internals, higher rev, and at least one new tech item. Not seduced by the pre-release comments of the body design. Gave up on the designer from the beginning. Inspiration by any other name is just copying.
"some form of torque vectoring" Curious how this will be managed on the front wheels without electric motors being used? Brake-based? Seems that is already part of their systems?
